Horrible customer service at the office, good tour. I do not recommend and will not use this company again. If you do take this tour, be aware they are very rigid on their policies. If taking a day trip from Denver, allow at least 1.5 hours just for traffic. Also, the Check-in time in Dillon is pretty firm. Once you check-in, they expect YOU to drive another 45min to the actual snowmobile location. If the weather is nice, the drive is easy. If the weather is not so nice, I recommend 4 wheel drive. I was expecting a shuttle from the Dillon office. If you can get past the reservation office with no issues, the rest of the tour is great!
My wife bought me a gift certificate for Christmas. I reserved my day over the phone, and the lady made me feel like she was doing me a favor. On the day of my tour, my buddy and I left Colorado Springs with 45min to account for traffic. The traffic was bad, and I called the office to let them know and to determine what our options were. The lady said “The confirmation says to leave early to account for traffic”, I said, “I know and we did”. She repeated “you missed your time” a few times. Finally, I asked if we could go on a later tour. She seemed very uninterested in helping and said it depended on availability. We arrived, and the lady seemed very annoyed by us. My friend made a joke and the lady basically called him rude to his face. The joke was related to rental car insurance. Though we left early and called ahead, they still charged us a change fee. I can kind of understand the fee, but she just added it to the bill without telling me. After we paid, we received the directions. The directions are pretty easy, but they do not attach a map. When I pulled out my phone to check the map, the lady insisted I not use my phone, even though I just wanted to get a reference of where it was. She then insisted to know exactly where we were going to eat for lunch. We said a place, and she kept saying other places and insisting to know.
The tour itself was great! It was fun and the guide was good. It was great to go through the back country, which had some great views. We were in a small group of 4. We were all beginners, but they still let us unleash the snowmobiles in an open field for 15min or so. The guides do expect tips. Our guide told us before our tour even started.
