You dont' have to do ANYTHING just sit still and enjoy the view, or, you can ride the bike all around it, taking in the breathtaking view as you get breathless on your ride, or go sailing, hiking, have a picnic, anything, summer or winter, seems so much better with this body of water around!
Lake Dillon is a man-made reservoir. It is huge. There is a paved bike (recreation) path which goes around much of the lake (start in Frisco or Dillon) and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. In the summer and fall, you should take the water taxi which runs between the marinas in Frisco and Dillon.
Beautiful lake framed by the Ten Mile Mountain range. Water craft rentals available. Motorized and otherwise. Food and the water's edge at the Tiki Bar. Local brews available too. You will not be disappointed. Take your bike, your stroller and good walking shoes as you will want to explore.
A great reservoir surrounded by mountains. You can sail, canoe, or pontoon it. No waterskiing or jet skis. You can also ride your bike around the lake. A great place to relax!!!
We love biking with our tandem on Lake Dillon. Their are over 200+ miles of paved paths connecting all the major ski resorts during the summer. Towns along the bike path include: Keystone village, Dillon, Frisco, Breckenridge and Silverthorne.
