Arrived early in the day to find our room was not ready. I was expecting this as it was 1130am. Sara, the front desk employee, moved us to a different room that was to be ready around noon. We decided to hang out in the lobby and read up on the area travel magazines. To our surprise the room was ready as promised. I have attached several pictures of the hotel so they are up to date as of 15JUL08. The room we received was a balcony unit on the second floor with a Jacuzzi tub. Room was excellent as described by previous reviews. No problems at all during our stay. Highly recommended!! A+++

Great location as well. 20 minutes to Breckenridge. Lots of restaurants and breweries to choose from. There are also some nice outlet stores down the street. One note on the included breakfast, beware of the powdered eggs!!

This is THE BEST place to stay when you are skiing. Price (we have never paid more than $100 a night - often less). Great free breakfast that includes waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast, muffins, oatmeal, some kind of meat e.g. sausage or ham, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice, tea, fruit. The beds are comfortable, the pool is quite nice, there is an indoor and an outdoor hot tub, exercise room, fireplace and sofas in lobby. Staff is friendly, helpful. The only thing to watch out for is too CHECK YOUR BILL ON CHECKOUT. They might be banking on you not doing this because you get charged $1.50 a day for a "safe warantee." (Yes, spelled that way). And will not refund this if you do not ask them to before checking out. This is for the convenience of having a safe in your room (whether or not you use it). And if you actually USE the safe, you get charged more. Tell them upon check in you will not be using the safe. Hey, save yourself the money and buy a bowl of chili on the slopes.

I chose this hotel as my base for the 2-week skiing holiday in Colorado. Having read all the reviews here I wasn't expecting much. However everything from my arrival to departure was smooth and in many aspects much better than described in some of the reviews on TA. I was assigned a corner suite with great views of the mountains. Although the 4 windows were overlooking I-70 the traffic wasn't bothersome at all. The room was fine, the furniture somewhat dated, but everything was in perfect working condition. The room, including carpet and sofa was also very clean. I must especially point out the great job the housekeeping girls do. In 14 nights theay cleaned and prepared the room with the same standard. They never forgot to replenish any of the amenities, they gave plenty (8-10) large towels and always vacummed the room thoroughly. There are very few hotels I have stayed at worldwide I could recall that would have such consistent housekeeping. I am surprised to continue reading about the cleanliness problems at this property. That was not my impression. Even the stairways and the breakfast area were clean during my stay. The breakfast area is somewhat limited especially taking the hotel's full occupancy into consideration, but I managed to get a table every morning. The pool area is also rather dated, but again, no problems with cleanliness. Whenever I needed anything from the front desk I was always immediately served and treated to my satisfaction. The hotel's location is great. It's an hour from Denver, 10 minutes from Keyston, 20 minutes from A-basin, 25 from Breckenridge, 40 from Vail and 50 from Beaver Creek. Dillon/Silverthorne with its outlets also offers quite some shopping possibilites, so you have something to do on snowy days when you are not skiing. All in all my stay here was above what I had been expecting and am looking forward to staying here again if I decide to take another skiing holiday next winter.

My family (husband & 7 year old son) booked this hotel for a one night stay on our way back from Vail/Beaver Creek to Denver. We weren't expecting a four star hotel, but I at least expect cleanliness.

I will say that the front desk staff were very friendly and expedient.

We booked a king room that was described to have a partial room divider between it and the sofabed. In fact, the only divider between the bed and the sofa was a nightstand.

The sofa cushions and the desk chair were obviously stained. The toilet seat cover was blistered in places and was terribly overdue for replacement.

Overall, this property is in desperate need of an upgrade in furnishings, or at the very least a good steam cleaning.

We have never stayed in the Dillon/Silverthorne area before, but I feel sure that there are better options out there.

I stayed at this hotel on a Friday night in January using my Choice points. I thought the hotel was a good value and I was satisfied with my stay. The room was good sized and clean. The “suites” aren’t 2 completely separate rooms. There is a half/partial wall that separates the sleeping area from the kitchen/bathroom area. There are pics on the TA site that show you what a typical room looks like. I knew this going in so it wasn’t a surprise.

I thought the hallways (walls and carpets) were also clean and since I was on the second floor I took the stairs and didn’t smell or see anything unsavory. Since it was ski season, and the hotel was very full, the breakfast area was quite packed on Saturday morning. I wasn’t in a rush so I ended up going to breakfast near the end of the serving time and by then the room had emptied out a bit. The employee did his best to keep the food stocked and the tables cleaned considering the volume of people there. The hotel is in a good location with lots of retail all around.

So all in all I was satisfied with this hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

  • Liked — Large clean room with kitchenette
  • Disliked — Breakfast area was a bit small for as many guests who were using it
