Due to a contract that my company has with the Wyndham, I stay at this particular property about 50 nights per year. If you stay at this hotel without high expectations, then you will be pleased. It is just very, very average.
Some high points:
-Rooms are always very clean.
-The common areas are nice and don't appear worn.
-Free Internet with Wyndham By Request membership.
Some low points:
-Front desk staff needs some serious training. Invariably, I check in with the same 2 or 3 people each time I stay and it takes them 5 minutes to complete a task that should take 30 seconds. Each time, I am asked for my credit card, which is not necessary as a WBR member. I am also constantly amazed that, given the number of nights I stay in this hotel per year, that I am never recognized. None of the employees here are terrible, but none are that great. Just very average to below average.
-As has been mentioned, the water pressure in the sink faucets is lousy.
-Unless you are a heavy sleeper, you will be woken up each night between 12-1am as they loudly throw the newspapers up and down the hall.
-Room service doesn't offer any options that aren't soaked in butter or oil.
-Bed and bath linens are of the kind of quality you would expect in a Hampton Inn or similar.
-The workout facilities are pitiful. The lone treadmill is a relic of the past and the remaining equipment is sad. Fortunately, I am a member of 24 Hour Fitness, so I just drive a couple of blocks to the nearest gym to workout.
Honestly, the only reason I stay here is because of the contract my company has with the property for a $94/night rate. If it was my own dime, I would choose to stay at the Marriott next door. I would avoid the Hyatt across the street as the rooms there are showing their age.
