I have to admit this Comfort Inn had all the necessities one could reasonably expect, but it's hard to be enthusiastic about it. The hallways were rather dark and had a musty smoky odor even in the non-smoking areas. Our room appeared to be lacking all its normal furniture- in looking at another open door, it seemed the desk unit in our room was gone and that open space had a rather crooked floor lamp awkwardly placed there. Still, the room had a coffeemaker, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. The bathroom though small and plain was clean- the sink was outside the bath proper which was handy for us.
Parking seems to be an issue as they sell lots of "Park and fly" packages , so parking was at a premium and they sent us to the rear parking lot although the back door's security system which was supposed to open with our keycard didn't and we had to walk around to the front- except fro the times when the door was propped open by someone- not a real secure feeling.
Breakfast from 6-9 once again had several choices- but only corn flakes or fruit loops for cereal, hard boiled eggs one day but not the next and a rather bland display of mini mufins, bagels, and bread. One waffle iron seemed to result in a delay if you wanted a waffle. The seating area was very drab- can you say "school cafeteria?"
We got a nice AARP rate, but all in all, I'd try someplace else next time.
Oh, and when we checked in the young woman at the desk said."I'll have to see if any rooms are cleaned" and left me standing at the desk for quite a while. I could not imagine that there was not a better system for seeing what rooms were available than having her go up and down the hall opening doors- she returned after quite a while and said "I found one." What??? We usually have a better experience at Comfort Inn than we had here.
