I stayed at the Drury Inn last week for three nights, and loved being there. The free breakfast in the mornings was pretty good. It consisted of eggs, sausage, buscuits and gravy, cereal, juice, bagels, muffins, and other pastries. I got up early every morning I was there to get in on the breakfast. They also had free popcorn starting in the afternoons, and had free dinner and free alcoholic/non-alcholic drinks in the evening. When you first check in at the hotel, they give you this card for free drinks. The dinner consisted of pizza, chips and cheese dip, and baked potatoes. On the last night I was there, there were hot dogs, so the menu changes eventually. The alchoholic drinks were not bad. I tried a lime margarita, which was quite good.

The rooms were extra clean. I had no problems. The floor I was on was pretty quiet as well. Had no trouble sleeping and did not awake to loud noises in the hotel. The refrigerator in my room kind of hummed loudly, but not to where it was unbearable.

The service was pretty good. They were very responsive to my needs. When I had a maintenance issue with my toilet, they sent a maintenance man to my room right away, who fixed the problem promptly. The people working at the hotel were nice to me, as well as some of the guests.

The only downside to the hotel was that it was not in a very pleasant area. The area around it looked kind of old, and further down Peoria Street, it looked kind of shady. I heard quite a bit of sirens in the distance, but the hotel is close to the highway and the sirens was the only traffic noise I could hear. The hotel is also next to a small field with prarie dogs, which I thought was quite interesting. There is also controlled parking, but it is not controlled near the main entrance.

Overall, I would stay at the Drury Inn again. I had a great time in Denver, and staying at this hotel made it more enjoyable.

This hotel is about midway between the airport and downtown, so don't consider staying there unless you have a car.

Apart from that, it is a great, cost effective option. Other reviewers have covered the slightly different breakfast and evening refreshments - they are included in the room costs so you can't be too critical. The hotel is clean, friendly and family oriented.

There is no restaurant, so if the snacks don't suit you will need to eat elsewhere. There is a hotel across the road with a reasonable restaurant and bar and plenty of fast food places within walking distance.

I enjoyed my stay there and chose to return a few weeks later. For the price, it is hard to beat.

I booked after reading all the great reviews. I think the reviews were either written by ringers or by people who have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. This is an okay hotel. I was happy with the room. It was clean and decent size. However, I missed several little things that are standard in other mid-priced hotels. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. They only put out so much (mediocre) food and when it's gone, they don't replenish it. They take a couple of USA Todays and break them apart into sections. If you don't get there early, there are no papers and nothing but cereal left. The main hall was dirty and didn't improve over our stay.

We have just become a fan of Drury Inns. Drury East Denver has wonderful amenities. I agree with other reviewers here. We made dinner out of their nachos, chili hot dogs and green salad - all included. Also included are three happy hour drinks per person. Breakfast features a hot meal of eggs and bacon with those traditional biscuits & gravy, plus waffles, cereal, etc. Rooms are large with micro/refig/coffee maker. What more could we want!
We received an excellent rate over the internet, much better than walk-in.

Can't say enough good things about this chain. It is always spotless, staff super-friendly, amenities out the wazoo (that don't cost any more than other hotel rooms). The Drury is always a good value and usually in a good location. This was certainly the case in Denver. We got 2 tickets upon check-in, good for 3 free drinks downstairs during their "happy hour" type program (5, 30pm-7pm). I was there to pick up my father at the airport later that night but the staff was kind enough to let me use his drink tickets too. Along with all the free wine/cocktails there were also salads, pizza, desserts, etc. Met several nice people in the lobby just mixing around with drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the time I had to spend waiting to go to the airport there. The pool/hot tub scene was nice as well. Checked it out that night. Very child-friendly, even though I don't have any myself. Breakfast was great. I love the Drury and plan on staying a lot more in the future!
