I was here for a trade show and stayed a week. I was on the 2nd floor, train-side. The noise was loud sometimes, but not deafening. Room was clean and basic. My colleague's room was on the ground floor and smelled of mildew- awful. If you're passing through Denver on the highway, it's okay, but if you need to do business here, forget it.

Good value. Booked through Expedia and things went flawlessly.

Stayed there one night while on a family vacation. Nothing fancy, but clean and really convenient to Coors Field, which is why we stayed there. Other Tripadvisor.com commenters mentioned train noise, and there was some, but nothing that the AC white noise didn't cover. Decent continental breakfast. Staff was friendly. We'd stay there again.

  • Liked — Convenience to Coors Field.
  • Disliked — Room size.

booked this hotel three months ahead,to ensure we had a none smoking room.when we arrived yes youve got it, sorry sir only smoking available.when i explained that my wife was asthmatic the not to friendly receptionist asked" well do you want to book out" not an anwer when you have been traveling for several days.we reluctantly had to take the room only to be kept awake with the constant noise from the heavy road and rail traffic.at 4a.m the smoke detector began to sound,on phoning reception we were told maintenance would attend, when we left at 9.30a.m it was still bleeping.we had stayed in 10 seperate hotels on a fantastic tour all being of a very good standard except for this one which we would rate as very poor.

  • Liked — not to far from airport
  • Disliked — noise from traffic

We had a family emergency & needed to leave one day early. We had paid for 4 nights, and told them on the second day that we would have to be leaving early. They refused to refund our money.....Even Though HOTWIRE was willing to give us a refund (if the hotel would agree) but they still wouldn't.

I will book with Hotwire again.......but I will never stay in a La Quinta by choice.....especially this one... ever again.

The rooms were very clean.

The continental breakfast was standard fare: packaged muffins, cereals, bagels, rolls, juices, coffee, fruit, yogurt, etc., anything you'd need. Everything was fresh.

The staff was very friendly.

The location was convenient, off of 25, south of 70, exit at Park Ave. It is easy to get back on 25 north or south. On north 25, the very next exit is the airport, which made it convenient for catching our early flight. On south 25, one of the next exits is Colfax, which going east leads downtown as well. Federal Blvd has many gas stations, restaurants (try Jack N Grill), and car washes. The location gave easy access for a drive downtown. I wouldn't recommend walking to downtown after dark. The route would not be well lit, and after dark, there were many vagrants on the route (near downtown, but not near the hotel itself). It is next to a railyard and the freeway, but the noise wasn't bothersome; the freeway noise was more prominent than the railyard.

The TV, iron, ironing board, remotes, alarm clocks, shower, etc. were all functioning properly and in good repair.

A restaurant that serves breakfast is next to the hotel and open until 3 p.m. A Starbucks and small shopping area is going up next to the hotel. There is also a gas station with a McDonald's Express in it next to the hotel.

Overall, this was a great value.
