“Tasty sampling of pan-american cuisines”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2012

I've been to Limon a couple of times in the past few months, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine, atmosphere, and service. Limon apparently used to focus more just on Peruvian food, but now it has samplings from Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Columbia, Argentina... I particularly enjoy the happy hour experience--sample all the nations in one sitting!

“Good, interesting menu, not as spicy and savory as we'd like.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2011

We enjoyed our dinner (3 shared appetizers, 1 shared entree (the relleno), and the creme brulee dessert. We each had 2 drinks, totaled $80 (including happy hour prices). The appetizers (calamari, ham/bread balls, and ceviche) were all good, but not great. There wasn't a depth of flavor we've come to expect with very good restaurants. We enjoyed all the food, and would go back, but it is not high on the list for returns. The rellenos were good, but not great - great aroma, not as much flavor and very little spice/heat. The creme brulee dessert was excellent. Service was great. Free streetside parking.

“The worst Peruvian food in the world!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011

In short, the food was TERRIBLE--and expensive ($75 for dinner for 2 people without alcoholic drinks).

You should pass on this one . . .

“A great mojito”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2008

We were in Denver for business and stayed near 16th street. We walked Limon from there (25 minute walk).

The food was excellent - not too much, not too little. We had the duck - it was excellent. The whole grain dishes were tasty and unique.

We tried the creme brulee (chocolate, red pepper and vanilla come in a threesome) - excellent. The pepper taste was unusual but if mixed with the chocolate, even better.

As to the title of this brief review - the mojitos were excellent!

“The best in Denver”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2005

This restaurant is the best neighbood restaurant I've been in since I came here from NYC.I had the best spagehtti and meatballs outside of Little Italy. My wife had the pan seared stake with cracked pepper sauce and white wine and musroom sauce. She thought the sauces were unbelivable. "Sauce from heaven" she said. Another great thing is that they had late night happy hour and we got great drinks at a great price.
All this in a room, well you might as well be in the south of France at sunset.
Don't pass this one up
