I stayed here for a 3-day business meeting in June-2007, the room rate was only $127. My room was on the end of the 11th floor, and it was very large with a pillow top queen bed, arm chair, upholstered bench, balcony with chairs, 25" TV, microwave, safe, and a small vestibule area with an extra dresser.
EXERCISE: there is a pool on top of the hotel with a great view, but it was not heated and there was no hot tub. The exercise room was okay with towels and water, a couple of treadmills and one recumbent bike plus some weights.
ROOM DETAILS: The air conditioning worked well. The bed was a little too soft and had a thick stiff mattress pad on it -- the kind you use when you're worried about bed-wetting. Otherwise the linens were good quality. The room was so large it was hard to see the TV from the bed.
FOOD & LOCATION: There are very few eating places within short walking distance, and the hotel borders on a homeless area of town. The location is a five block walk to 16th street where all the restaurants and shops are located. There is a small, semi-formal restaurant in the hotel, and while the lunch I had there was good, the service was very slow and the prices on the high side. I didn't eat breakfast there, but other people at the meeting complained about the prices and the slow service. I was annoyed there was no self-serve takeout coffee, as I was always in a hurry.
CHECK-OUT: The in-room account info on the TV didn't work, and apparently had not worked for a long time. So I could not review my bill prior to checkout and had to resolve problems. The front desk staff was unfriendly in dealing with double billings for internet access ($10 per 24 hours) and parking ($12 per 24 hour period starting at midnight every night. They wanted to charge me for an extra day of parking). There is no free internet access in meeting rooms.
BOTTOM LINE: I don't know if I would stay here again because of the inconvenient location, the difficulty getting food, and the billing problems.
