About a long five block walk to the 16th st pedestrian Mall, the Burnsley is perfect for families. Relatively cheap, expansive, and comfortable suites. Easy walking to citiy parks, grocery store, etc. Easily accessible by car and free parking. The colorado suites are on the top floors and have been recently redone. May be worth the extra 10 bucks or so. Advice: call hotel directly for best rate. I didn't find the parking all that difficult and enjoyed having the covered parking in the intense Denver sun. Biggest drawback: noisy AC, but wow, did it work! Staff was attentive when you wanted them to be. Also, the free water that goes with the colorado suite was only delivered once. In COlorado you can drink as much water as you can get your hands on!

So its not the ritz, but I liked it. It has some touches of luxury. It also has a couple of things that are off. The hotel is a combo of old and new. I stayed there on buisness, and i suited me well. I would consider staying here for vacation as well. It ranks somewhere between a marriott (as in not as good as) and a holiday inn (as in better than). Definately above-average.

We stayed at the Burnsley Hotel on Capitol Hill in
Denver last week. We were given a suite with a gorgeous view of the Capitol, the city and the gorgeous mountains to the west. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the capitol, the fabulous art museum, and the 16th street mall [with its free shuttle]. The accomodations were spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet and provided free secure inside parking.

We secured this room through Expedia and found it to be a great bargain for anyone wishing to stay downtown.

This hotel is not a "boutique" hotel as it claims. It is more of a Motel with higher floors. It is very run down, but clean.Views are nice, and it is next door to Charley's Bar which is a piano bar with interesting people watching. Staff are less than helpful.

I made reservations for my boyfriend and I for 2 nights less than a day before arriving and they were able to accomodate us, including the romance package for both nights. The staff were very friendly on our arrival. However, our flowers, truffles and champagne were not in the room - they arrived a few hours later, what a treat. We ate dinner twice and breakfast twice at the restaurant in the hotel. The chef prepared the meals quite sensationally, probably the best food we had eaten, and we have had our share of good food. We plan on driving back to Denver just to eat dinner at the restaurant. Our room was spacious and clean. The housekeeper did a great job, even cleaned our dishes. We had champagne, flowers and truffles delivered the second day, but with only one glass and no bucket of ice, which was quickly resolved. We enjoyed the view, the Capital was right outside our window. The balcony was nice, which was accessible from 4 different areas in the room. We liked the fact that you could control the temperature in the bedroom separately from the living area. We would definitely recommend this hotel and return for another visit.
