We stayed at the Burnsley to attend a friend's party in Denver. It was the closest to the party, within walking distance. It is a nice-looking hotel with an impressive lobby and lounge. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves don't live up to the lobby.
The rooms are very large, old apartments by the looks of them. The linens were very nice. The bathroom fixtures, carpets and all walls were dated and worn. The hotel was very quiet for the weekend because it is mostly an extended-stay business traveler-style place.
The hotel allows pets. I only mention this because there was an incident in the elevator, we are hoping it was a dog that left the stinky deposit in there, but you never know...and it was very difficult to get around the hotel without the elevators, I would hate to be in there in case of a fire. To avoid the mess in the elevator we ended up walking down stairs, traversing a hallway and then down more stairs and out to the back side of the hotel. It took a long time to figure out where to go. What if we were in a panic?
Also, there is tight security on the parking lot, giving the impression that the neighborhood isn't safe. Is it? We walked all around at night, late at night and never had any problems.
