I found a nice deal on hotels.com and decided to give the Burnsley Hotel a try because its located close to downtown. The rates were lower because it isn't located in the middle of the downtown, but rather the Capitol Hill neighborhood, which is only a 10 minute walk to LoDo. I enjoyed my room, which was HUGE, and the view from the balcony was outstanding. The bar was friendly and inviting, but I learned that the hotel will be closing down for good in early December. After that, the new owners are converting it to an apartment or condominium, which is sad because the hotel had a lot of history and the folks that served me won't likely be employed much longer.

Booked this for a conference downtown, when all the downtown hotels were full. It's about 1.25 miles from the convention center - further than I'd have liked had I a choice, but it's a quiet residential neighborhood and feels good. That said, it's been a great hotel. My rooms was huge, well-equipped, and very clean. Full kitchen and balcony, too! It's true that it has a dated feel, but everything is in great shape - just not a fully modern style. The bathroom is clearly not brand new and fresh, but it was clean and the shower is simply ridiculous (awesome, decadent volume!). Room service is quick, good, and friendly.

The parking is covered and free. It's a short, scenic walk downtown (~20min) but if you drive, there's ample $9 all day parking a block from the convention center.

All in all, for a conference it might be nice to be closer to the action, but this place was inexpensive, clean, big, and the people were friendly. I'd stay here again.

Great location, the area is super nice, staff was great. I was at the 10th floor the view to the city was nice. The old school classy decoration I like it a lot :-D The restaurant I did try it only for breakfast which was good. My friends saw my suite and they love it it was better than theirs at the Sheraton on 16th Street and for less $$$.
I already told my friend if you staying in Denver you should try get a room at Burnsley!!

Fun place to stay, close to downtown. Staff was great, room clean, and views to downtown awesome! Choose a corner room with a balcony and you won't be disappointed.
