I stayed at this hotel for two nights while attending a Wedding at the Hotel. This was my first time in Denver. We took the Super Shuttle from the airport. It was very quick and we were dropped off right in front of the hotel. From the moment we arrived we received excellent service. We were helped with our bags, all the staff was very helpful with questions about the surrounding area, the maid service came twice a day (evening turn down service). The hotel lobby is very beatiful with a stained glass roof. We ate at the Ship's Tavern where our food was undercooked. We mentioned it to the server and they discounted our meal and offered us free dessert. We also had breakfast in our hotel room. It was a very overpriced breakfast at $50 for two. The second morning we tried the Delectable Egg around the corner which had much better food at a reasonable price.

The hotel was very charming and the room was about average size. We had a King Deluxe room and the bed was very comfortable. The bedding was luxurious and the air conditioning worked great as it was near 100 when we were in Denver. We had a room off of the main lobby so noise was not a problem for us. The hotel is old and you can tell if you look really close at the wall paper and at the bathroom tiles. I would agree with the former comments that if you were looking for ultra modern like an Omni this might not be the place for you. They had great amenities in the bathroom and the shower had good water pressure. I would definately stay here again.

The workout facilities were great and the afternoon tea looked fun even though I didn't try it.

I stayed at The Brown for 4 nights beginning June 8.2006. This was not my first stay. Everything has always been perfect. The staff has fulfilled every request. The bed and bath linens are beyond compare. The evening turn down service is so lovely. The staff is courteous and well informed. ( I don't care to have people fawning over me). The service has always been first class when I have stayed there. The Brown Palace is unique and once you have stayed there you can't go anywhere else. When staying there, I can relax as I can at no other hotel. When traveling, I find you attract the kind of attitude that you give off. I always expect the best at The Brown Palace and I receive it.

Stayed here for a nearby conference. The service was perfect from the valet who greeted us to the bellman, to the front desk, room service and all in between. The room was quaint, yet had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable with luxurious bedding. The room was spotless and quiet. The only issue was an intermittent disagreeable odor predominantly in the bath area. Perhaps it was just this particular room. If I experienced it again, I would request a room change. I would definately stay again. For a hotel in the downtown area, I felt secure and well cared for.

One of the nicest hotels we have ever experienced! Room was charming, beautiful and quiet. Beds very comfortable. Atrium/lobby is gorgeous. Service was outstanding. Everything I would want in a fine hotel. Excellent Sunday brunch. Had a fantastic meal at the Palace Arms off the lobby. We were there for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. I am perplexed by some of the other reviews of this hotel. If you want ultramodern and soulless, then don't stay in a historic hotel.

The lobby and bars are very nice and worth the price, but we didn't like our room at all. We requested a new room away from the elevators and the front desk was very accomodating. However, we discovered that the rooms are old, dusty and not memorable in any way. This place desparately needs renovation.

Many other hotels downtown offer updated rooms and better views.
