Stayed here for a nearby conference. The service was perfect from the valet who greeted us to the bellman, to the front desk, room service and all in between. The room was quaint, yet had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable with luxurious bedding. The room was spotless and quiet. The only issue was an intermittent disagreeable odor predominantly in the bath area. Perhaps it was just this particular room. If I experienced it again, I would request a room change. I would definately stay again. For a hotel in the downtown area, I felt secure and well cared for.

One of the nicest hotels we have ever experienced! Room was charming, beautiful and quiet. Beds very comfortable. Atrium/lobby is gorgeous. Service was outstanding. Everything I would want in a fine hotel. Excellent Sunday brunch. Had a fantastic meal at the Palace Arms off the lobby. We were there for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. I am perplexed by some of the other reviews of this hotel. If you want ultramodern and soulless, then don't stay in a historic hotel.

The lobby and bars are very nice and worth the price, but we didn't like our room at all. We requested a new room away from the elevators and the front desk was very accomodating. However, we discovered that the rooms are old, dusty and not memorable in any way. This place desparately needs renovation.

Many other hotels downtown offer updated rooms and better views.

Stayed at the Brown Palace for two nights on a business visit.

The atrium is certainly impressive, but I really feel that the hotel needs some money spent on it. The bedrooms are OK, but nothing spectacular. My bathroom was cramped and old-fashioned. Yes, I know it’s an old building, but some serious spending could turn it into a truly great hotel.

Small things also spoiled the Brown, such as the lack of coffee / tea making facilities and the absence of a trouser press. There was an ironing board with an iron, but every decent hotel should have a press; they don’t cost much, so why are US hotels so reluctant to install them?

Plus points were free wifi in the rooms, a very good breakfast, a very high standard of housekeeping and a particularly pleasant, friendly and courteous staff.

I would certainly stay at the Brown again, but it is such a pity that its huge potential is not being fulfilled.

I stayed at the Brown Palace in January 2006 when in town on business. My room was large and newly remodeled. I really enjoyed dining in the restaurants that the hotel offers. I will stay at the Brown Palace when in Denver again.
