The Brown Palace in Denver, Colorado not only has a wonderful history to learn about but it is located in one of the best cities in the United States. From the moment you step through the revolving door in is clear history is still in the making.
The hotel staff is generous and knowledgeable and can offer ideas about your stay or if one prefers to be left to just relax and enjoy the beauty of the hotel or the spa, they will accommodate your every wish.
There are several restaurants with all kinds of menus to fit any desire...the spa is one of European style and offers the best facial in town.
Rooms at the Brown Palace are beautifully appointed and the tour of the hotels history is a must for both locals and foreigners alike.
Go to this hotel and enjoy a vibrant Denver that has come a long way in culinary, museums, and experiences meant to be enjoyed by any world traveler.

Once upon a time, the Brown Palace was a dream. From the moment you walked through the doors you were cocooned in a grand luxury hotel of the last century. The staff would accomodate and bend over backwards for anything you wanted and were genuinely friendly. The rooms were lovely and ensconcing. My sister was married here in hands down the best and most elegant wedding I have ever been to.

Now.... not so much. An ounce of pretension is worth a pound of manure and baby this place has tons. The prices have become ridiculous and are accompanied by churlish, to downright SNOTTY, staff. Disrepair abounds and frankly, its just plain sad. This is obviously an attitude and disregard coming from management, who seem to believe that the Brown Palace name is enough. Amenitites? ha ha ha.... wireless internet IN THE LOBBY....you must be kidding.

With the arrival of the Ritz Carlton, Grand Hyatt and soon the Four Seasons, the Brown Palace has plenty of competition and reason to be worried.

Skip this destination and enjoy the other luxury hotel offerings Denver has to offer.

Customer service is always of the utmost priority here at The Brown Palace and we pride ourselves in delivery an exceptional experience to each of our guests. I would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to contact us about the specific issues you encountered so that we may address any deficiencies that arose during your stay. In regard to “disrepair,” we are near the completion of an $8 million renovation of our bathrooms which feature dual showerheads, granite countertops and marble tile, and we recently renovated our guestrooms with re-upholstered chairs, updated artwork, new carpeting, new tiled entries, and new television armoires and flat screen TVs. And if I may address your comment about prices, our summer promotion includes prices as low as 50% off our regular room rates as well as package options offering up to $89 in savings for an affordable luxury getaway. Again, we appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back.

Staying at the Brown Palace was an outstanding experience. My daughter and I felt like princesses in the tower, in our lovely corner room! The hotel is beautiful, the amenities exceptional, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, the location extremely convenient - in short, everything you could possibly want in a hotel. I hope I have the chance to go again soon!

Note: We were treated so "personally" and marvelously by the hotel concierge and the sommelier, the maitre d' and our head waiter at the Palace Arms Restaurant, I made sure to get all of their names and took the time to extensively fill out the feedback cards at the Brown Palace before leaving. I no longer have those names...but want to fill out this review for Trip Advisor viewers.

As the title says, for our 40th anniversary, our children purchased a package at the Brown Palace to use in conjunction with tickets to see Celine Dion. Denver was also having a restaurant promotion called 5280 during that week (where one can buy prix fixe meals for 2 at fine restaurants like the Palace Arms for $52.80). Well, we had no prior reservations at any of these restaurants and asked the concierge if she could "possibly get us in to one of the wonderful restaurants right there at the Brown Palace." She told us, on such short notice, that it would be very difficult...but that she'd try. Not only did she try--she tried repeatedly, talking directly to the chef, etc. She got us in to the Arms--and at a time that was perfect for our being able to readily attend the concert.
Then, later that afternoon/evening, she came into the restaurant while we were eating to just see how we were doing--even offering to take some pictures with our camera...and offer we accepted.
Our head waiter was fantastic. When he found out it was our 40th anniversary, he shared this with the maitre d', who came around to congratulate us...and "buy our glasses of champagne!"
The service the marvelous; the food superb; the atmosphere romantic (for us and our occasion). Our head waiter gave my wife a couple of long stem roses. We ordered some Jamaican press coffee for two (which was very expresso-like) occasioning me to order sambuca. When the remaining quantity of coffee was really inadequate, our waiter provided us with an additional amount at no charge!
The Caesar (mixed at the table) was piquant; the beef “ROSSINI”, foie gras, brioche, Swiss chard simply melted in our mouths; the signature almond macaroons scrumptious--and the bananas foster exquisite.
The concierge met us after we left the restaurant, got a little flower vase for our roses...and promptly arranged for the hotel complimentary limosine to take us to the Pepsi Center! The driver was also friendly, personable and accommodating.
When we returned from a marvelous concert, as part of the package, the room was turned down, there was a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us, watched over by a cute little teddybear in a Brown Palace sweater...and there was a personalized card from the Brown Palace "family" wishing us a happy anniversary.
The next day, we were treated to a marvelous room service brunch with some delicious bacon, tender, juicy ham to accompany the eggs—and some of the best blueberry pancakes ever!
Later in the day, we were joined by some relatives in the Ship’s Tavern, where the bartender was animated and conversational. While we spent the afternoon doing some things “outside the hotel,” we were permitted to leave our car in the hotel valet parking.

Bottom line: Does it get any better than this?

As soon as you walk in the hotel lobby it takes your breath away. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor. I could not believe how beautiful it was. The big beds, amazing bathrooms with a shower and a big tub. I did not want to leave the room. I was only going to stay for one night. I live in colorado springs 1 hour away from this hotel I called into work so I could stay one more night. The service is excellent. The perfect place to destress.

My wife and I visited the Brown Palace,for our anniversary getaway. We could not have been more pleased with all of the ameneties and comforts as well as the staff there. We have stayed a many fine hotels and the "Brown" is without a doubt the most satisfying hotel we have had the luxury of visiting.

This was the most lovely hotel I have ever visited. Our room was beautiful and comfortable as well. We had room service bring up a decadent dessert at around 10:00pm. The staff was so helpful. We cannot wait to return!
