We were guests three years ago at the Guest House, so when we were going back to the area we booked our rooms there again. We were with friends so we had a total of three rooms for 4 days.
The room we were in was clean and the beds were fantastic, pillows nice, but the bathroom sink leaked on the floor. We put a ice chest under it to catch the drips! The rooms are roomy and they had a frig and micro, that was good because we had medicine that had to be refrigerated, but to our suprise the next morning they frig was not cool at all, our ice packs saved our meds as the frig was never pluged in! In order to make the frig and microwave work we had to take them off of the cart and put them on the floor on the side of our bed, tripping accidents at night!

The second room was pretty clean but the bathroom was a disaster! It really looked as some one had a butt explosion all over the toilet and it was never cleaned! There were dirty towels in the bathtub and on the floor. GROSS!

The thrid room was clean and the bathroom was clean too. However when our friends asked for towels the first day they were given cleaning rags adn the second day they were handed towels out of the dirty laundry maid bin! How sick is that!

The pool was to be open on Tuesday but when we left on Sunday it was still not open, that was very disapointing because we picked this hotel because it has a very nice pool. So instead of swimming we had the kids play ball in the halls until 8 pm at night, we did not want to play any later because of othe guests. We also bought sidewalk chalk adn the kids played on the sidewalks one night.

The ac went out at the hotel and rooms that did not have window unites were really HOT< the guys across the hal were roasting! We felt bad for them.

While there the ripped up the carpet in the breakfast area and were remodeling the rooms directly below us, all day long you heard bang bang! not good for a sleeping baby at all!

When one of our friends checked out they told them about the dirty bathroom and the asian man said well what do you expect for 50 bucks. Well we expect a clean bathroom!
The indian lady working the front dest was very nice adn helpful, also a man named matthew was nice too. the only rude front desk was the asian man.

the maid staff did not know english and tended to be rather rude, asking for clean towels or a trash can for the room was like pulling teeth!

the breakfast was pretty ok you could makw waffles, they had toast, muffins, milk juice and apples or bananas.

If you want cheap and comfy this is the place fo ryou but the bathrooms are hit or miss and can be dirty! YUCK!

I am not sure if we will risk the place again in three years when we go back.

A friend of a friend booked this hotel for us sight unseen! This was a glorified truck stop! By that I mean there was carpet on the floor. Our first clue was when we got off the elevator, there was a table of folks playing cards in the hallway. The halls were dark and grim, the window in our room was broken and I could smell cigarette smoke and hear dogs barking in the next room!!! This was a horrible experience. We went 1/2 mile south and found the Red Lion for $10 more per night and it was fantastic, plush, well worth the additional money! Denver is beautiful but this place does not exemplify that sentiment at all!

My boyfriend and I were in the area looking for apartments. For us, the experience was fine. We smoke so we asked for a smoking room. There was an iron burn on the carpet where someone had left one sitting. There was all sorts of weird stuff in the bedside table drawers (nothing dangerous or inappropriate). We stayed for two nights and it suited us fine, since we didn't spend much time there. We wanted something cheap, and that is what you get. There weren't any scary people around when we were there. In fact, we didn't see anyone. The pool is kind of gross, the staff is pretty rude, but we didn't have a horrible experience.

I wasnt expecting very much with the price of the rooms, but when i walked in, i was very dissapointed. Walking down the halls i felt like i was in an old time horror movie. The dim yellow lights present a very outdated look, along with the rest of the interior. When i got to my room it was smelly. It was nice that there was a microwave and refrigerator, that was very convienant. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, it felt as if i was sleeping on a box and i have never felt pillows as lumpy as these. When ever we would leave our room the door would not lock we would have to giggle the handle to get it to. After a few hours of staying here, the elevator became broken, and we had to take the stairs and brings our bags up the satirs o our room on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was not the best, but there was a waffle maker and doughnuts. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I read the other reviews, but it was after I had already booked my package deal. I was afraid it was going to be a bad situation, based on some of the other reviews. I was blessed that we did not experiance any of the other bad reviews problems. It was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and pool was warm and clean. Our room was always cleaned and in order on our return. I would be glad to reccomend this hotel to anyone. It wasn't expensive either. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Colorado. Hotel, Car rental, sites were all good. Thank you.

  • Liked — when we needed stuff and asked, it was given. And the room was always in order on our return.
  • Disliked — not enough computers in the internet area
