Denver is a nice city. Very clean, a nice mix of old an modern. Too bad I can't say the same for this hotel. Annually my husband and I got to Colorado Springs for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. This year we decided split our vacation and spend four nights in Denver. Because we are Starwood Preferred Guests we always stay with them. We prefer the W or Westin, but we had a coupon for half off our stay at a Four Points.
We called ahead and asked them if we would be able to check into the hotel early they said a room would be ready at 12:30PM. As we arrived at 12:32PM I cringed praying the rooms were nicer on the inside and. My husband went in and came back out after just a few minutes telling me that they had given our room away and said come back at 3:00 to check in. I was very unhappy that they did not assist us any further saying "we are booked".
Three hours later we returned, checked in, and went to out room. The room was tiny and the bathroom microscopic. The decor was dated and I felt like it hadn't been touched since the early 90's. Their website said free wifi, but the only place we found it to work was the lobby, where my husband met fellow travelers that were as disappointed as we were.
We canceled the rest of our stay after only one night or sleeplessness. The bed was old and actually jabbed my ribs with a spring all night and they only provide you with two FLAT pillows, and two obscenely large throw pillows.
Upon check out my husband told them that were leaving because we were displeased with the hotel and Kelly at reception replied with, "I know, this place sucks."
Never again and I intend to get all of my starpoints back for this stay.
