Stayed at the hotel on business for two nights. I was "upgraded" to room 1025 but really the only upgrade that I could see is that the room had a tiny balcony. The room itself was small and the TV was old. The hotel decor is combination medival and lodge with lots of dark dark wood.

The pool was adequate, but I refused to swim in it because two of the pool lights were out of their sockets and just floating around. I mentioned this to someone on the staff, but they just gave a blank stare.

I had the bkfst buffet in the restaurant, which was pretty good. The Italian waiter was the best. He was very friendly and funny. Don't let him go.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel for pleasure.

This hotel is very easy to get to, clean, and very helpful staff. The pool area is very nice. The hot tub was ok but could have been hotter. Rooms were clean, but small. Bar was good, food was ok.

Better than the Hyatt Tech Center. The Marriot in the Tech Center is better for overall stay, but the Four Points pools is a lot better.

Thats the only problem with bidding for rooms, you can't select the actual hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a conference. The hotel is located in a convient area right off interstate I-25. The hotel lobby was nice and had a rustic feel with a large stone fireplace and free internet/computer access. It also had an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, however the décor and feel was very dated for a “Sheraton” hotel. It had older carpet, the bathroom was tiny, and the fixtures were obviously many years old. The bed was not as comfortable as other Sheraton’s I have stayed at. I would expect a little more luxury at this property for the price we paid. Overall, the stay was fine, but for the price I could have booked a regular hotel (Holiday Inn, La Quinta, etc.) and had a free breakfast for about half of what I paid with comparable room accommodations.

  • Liked — The indoor pool and hot tub!
  • Disliked — The room decor and dated feel

Apr 25, 2008 | Trip type: Business

I was on a business trip and had a very important presentation to give the next day. I asked the man at the front desk if the room he was assigning was quite so I could get some rest..and as well I informed him I was a light sleeper. I went to dinner and returned at 10:30. The first room I was assigned was an adjoining room which is not a problem on the surface. However the man in the room next to mine was on a speaker phone for 45 minutes and there is no soundproofing between my room and the door that opened to his room. The sound was as if he was in my room..I could hear his entire conversation word for word. I started to take towls out of the bathroom to put in the door gap..but that did not make a difference. When he was finally done he then turned on the television and that was even worse. I was not going to be able to sleep and as I said I had a very important meeting in the morning. I called the front desk and asked to be moved. I packed up my things, changed, and walked to the front desk. The person assigning the room should have known how poor the door/ sound issue is in adjoining rooms.

Room two..I am now given the key to a room on the 5th floor. I unpack, proceed to lay down and then hear the toilet... running non stop. I tried to jiggle the handle..etc..and it did not stop. So I called down again letting them know the toilet was running..(now it is after midnight). The front desk person did not offer to bring me a new key or help to move me . I once again packed up my things and went back to the front desk.

Room three..now I was told there was a room on the second floor that was quite and had noone in rooms on either side. I said fine. I took the key and walked once again across the hotel to the room. I learned immediately why there was noone in these room ..there were street lights like the sun right outside the rooms, so you had bright light flooding into the room. I called again and let them know this was not going to work (what were they thinking???). So I once again took my things and walked back to the front desk.

Room four..I was now sent to a room that was not cleaned or else someone had been in and then left and the room was not straightened. The bed was messy and looked as if someone had been in the room. I called gain and let them know...Again took my things back to the front desk..now it is 1:00 in the morning and I actually started crying out of frustration.

Room five...One of the women at the front desk walked down to room five and went into the room with me. This room was again on the second floor but facing inside not outside..so there was not the problem of the light outside. This is the room that I ultimately remained in for the short 4 hours of sleep I was able to get. The room was so bad it smelled like old cigarettes and the wall was brick. I felt as if I was in a prison or some bad highway motor hotel.

Was there really no other place to put me..? Anyway I was able to shut my eyes at 2 am just in time to wake up at 5:30 am for my important day.

I have never...had such a bad hotel experience in my life. I travel quite a bit and have stayed in hotels that range room not great to really excellent ..and this experience was off-the-charts bad.

Someone wrote that the exercise room is filthy; they're right.

About 15 years ago I could see how this hotel could have been a REALLY nice place to stay, but there is some wear and tear. For example, the old cold-metal-damp windows in the hotel rooms. In addition, my room was on the 9th floor looking out to the Denver skyline, but the outside window was so dirty.

Another example is the doors in the rooms that open up into the other rooms: old school and out-dated; not to mention noisy.

On a good note though, The Loge has a nice menu and beer selection. One night I had to ship a package FedEx, and within minutes someone was at my door with a tape-gun; very helpful.

I would stay here again if I had to; I just think little things could be improved to maintain a competitive edge over neighboring hotels that's all.

  • Liked — Short drive to Colorado Blvd.
  • Disliked — Dirty windows & broken desk chair (which they replaced).
