We stayed at the Grand Hyatt during a conference in which the other Hyatt was completely sold out. This one was about 3 blocks from the convention center. The staff was absolutely wonderful - especially in the restaurant. They remembered our names and what we had with our coffee. We were greeted each morning by warm & smiling faces. The room and bathroom were clean & nicely decorated. The bed was the one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slepted in. Amenities were well provided for: coffee maker, hair dryer, a nice iPod docking alarm clock, etc. Location was well placed - just two blocks from the 16th St. mall with lots of restaurants & shops. The only downside was the valet parking which was expensive at $26/night. But there were plenty of parking lots around the hotel to park for the night for 1/2 the cost or less. Starbucks right in the lobby of the office building connected to the hotel.

We will DEFINITELY stay here again when visiting Denver.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Sept 1 - 3. Were there to attend a wedding. The hotel is just average. It is a downtown hotel that caters to business travelers on expense accounts. Every thing at this hotel costs extra, internet access, parking ($26.00 per night) and what doesn't cost extra is extra costly. The rooms are OK, nothing special, clean and neat althought other wedding guests expressed another opinions. Seems quality of houskeeping varied greatly by floor. There is nothing that stands out about this hotel. Nothing sharp or extra to make this anything but a business hotel. Front desk staff indifferent and not very customer friendly. Bell people, valets and especially the conceirge were outstanding, too bad the rest of the hotel didn't measure up. The wedding reception was held in the Pinnnacle
Room at the hotel and everything was outstanding. The room, food, service and staff attention could not have been better.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a long weekend. I booked on Priceline at paid about 1/2 of the price they had listed on their website. I was glad I did because I don't think it would have been worth a whole lot more than that.

The location is great -- only a block from 16th street. Our room was clean and comfortable though there were some details that were overlooked. Whomever remodeled the bath was an amature -- it looked like a small child helped ;)

The only major complaint that I have about this hotel is the extra charges for everything! Parking was $26 a day plus a tip, wifi was an additional $10 and there was no place other than your mini fridge to get a soda. They only had 3 kinds and charged $3 or $4 a can. At this pricepoint, I expect just a little more.

We ended up parking across the street and it was only $6 a day. I would recommend doing that.

Overall it was good for the price that I paid, but I can think of numerous 3 star hotels in Denver that I would choose over this Hyatt.

The staff is very attentive and handled any issues immediately. We have stayed in several Hyatt properties. I must say that the reason we selected the GH was because of the killer rate of $139.00 per night which included $20.00 per day for food and beverages. This almost canceled the $25.00 per night parking fee. The Denver property is a bit tired. We had a large room with a mountain view. The bed was not as comfortable as most. The bathroom was small and outdated. While already showering, discovered that housekeeping had neglected to provide shampoo. This property is more suited for business travelers. We were on a relaxing long weekend. Next time, we will stay in the LoDo area because of the variety of better restaurants and shopping. The GH is a great location for checking out the museums though.

My wife and I just spent 10 days at the Grand Hyatt Denver, and we would definitely return. All of the staff were attentive and helpful, especially a bellman named Max who provided all kinds of useful info from bus routes to BofA ATM's. The room was ample with a comfortable bed, and was cleaned promptly every day. I enjoyed the pool--not huge but large enough to swim laps. My wife used the exercise room almost every day, and only once found all of the treadmills taken. The location was very convenient, as we walked most places we toured in Denver. It was also close to the downtown car rental agencies, as we rented a car for 3 days of out-of-town excursions. My only complaint was that the minibar was not re-stocked often enough--pretty minor considering the negative experiences we have had at similar hotels in other cities.
