This a great choice for downtown Denver. Very close to all amenities. Nice big rooms with a Starbucks across the lobby. Really nice beds and iHome for your iPod. Staff are unobtrusive and could not be more helpful even at breakfast at 6am. The buffet was very well laid out and constantly stocked. I preferred the Denver Post rather than Rocky Mountain News. The gym is small as is the pool but not that busy out of hours. The roof tennis court is fun if a little too hot most days. The roof running track is a good idea.
Coors Field is a short walk away and good seats at the Rockies are easy to come by. In season the walk to Invesco field might be a bit chilly but still easily done. Visiting in the Springtime the skies were great and Denver Museum of Art has an eclectic mix of contemporary art. The centre of town has its fair share of down and outs but no more than any large city. The unusual aspec6t of Denver is that there are so few fat people the itinerants just stand out more. There is none of the threat of many US cities such as New York or Atlanta. Car hire is cheap and found just behind the hotel at Avis where again service is great and rates are half theose for airport pick up. Using a cab is not recommended during a conference as the drivers seem to want to earn a weeks salary nfrom one or two fares. Use your feet. Denver has loads of great places to see and its situation in front of the Rockies is undoubtedly stunning. Well done Hyatt.
