I really enjoyed my stay at this newly remodeled property. The room was relatively large with a huge walk-in closet and very attractive furnishings. The bed was the most comfortable that I have ever had in a Hyatt and it was my best night of sleep in a hotel in a long time.

The bathroom was very large, with lots of "ledge space" around the tub for storing items. The showerhead and water pressure were also very nice.

Unlike other reviewers, I found the hotel to be quiet and attractively decorated. The staff was very nice and helpful, as well.

The walking track and tennis court on the roof were a nice touch, although the fitness center did look a bit small.

The only negative was the parking. It was very expensive and the attendants were not able to grant me in-and-out privileges on the weekend. So, each time I drove out of the structure I paid at least 5 dollars, sometimes 10. I asked the front desk about this and they were not able to help since the garage is not owned by Hyatt.

Overall, I was really impressed with this hotel and would stay again!

Just returned with my wife from a 3 day visit to Denver and stayed at the
"Grand" Hyatt Denver. Although the room was excellent and recently refurbished, the hotel was lacking any personality, and we sensed that from the moment we checked in, walking through the bland, airless lobby! Their showcase restaurant 1876 is a must miss. Hotel staff from bellmen to front desk personnel were indifferent and not very helpful. One bellman even bumped into a guest exiting an elevator, while attempting to have an absurd conversation with me. The building must have been built with paper mache since there was absolutely no sound installation and street noises easily carried up to the 23rd floor! We heard doors slamming on our floor at all hours! Also had dinner at a highly touted restaurant in Larimer Square called Bistro Vendome. Don't believe what the guidebooks tell you. The food was average at best with tables on top of each!!!!! Another MUST MISS! On the good side, do go to the new North restaurant in Cherry Creek North. Fabulous food and great service at very reasonable prices. Marvelous atmosphere and people watching.

The rooms were very pleasant with contemporary bedding and furnishing. The bathroom was average; it was about the size you would have in your own home.

The location of the hotel is excellent; just one block from 16th Street Mall. However, for over $120.00 a night you would expect to see more accommodations: The breakfast buffet was pricy, LAN connectivity was $9.95 a night, even the bottled water in the room was $5.00 a bottle!

The pool and exercise area was okay, although they both were small. It would not be an exaggeration to state this hotel was not nearly worth the money spent. If your main concern is hotel location and appearance, and you do not expect much bang for the buck, by all means stay here.

Nice but do not pay for the “business package”

Overall the Grand Hyatt was a very nice place, the staff were first rate but they want every nickel and dime out of you. Do not pay for the “business package”, way overpriced and the benefits are decreasing. Part of that package is the laser printer on those floors that you would have access to, well to get that access now you now need to pay their $9.95 for wired or wireless internet access. So that perk now has a hidden fee and in their book in the room about the hotel they say that with the business package the high-speed access is free. I called down asking about this and found that as of two months ago they changed that so it was no longer included. I considered just getting it and disputing the charges but didn’t want to take the time to mess with it. Recommend they reconsider not having that as part of that package or update the books in the rooms… Part of that “business package” is breakfast, well the first day it was fine and worked out well but on the second day I was handed a bill for $2.95, apparently if you take some things from the buffet you get to pay, still don’t know what those were, just paid it and left the place. All in all for the extra $20.00 or so per night I got an OK breakfast and a fifty-cent paper outside my door. One other note, the “Spa” was lets say vintage and along way from clean. I was also wondering if the switch for the blower/pumps is up to electrical code, indoor metal box, outside in the elements, hummm…..

After being rather annoyed about some of the things the rooms and staff were fantastic, the bed in my room was hands down the nicest hotel bed I have ever slept in. I was happy to find I was able to open the windows in my room on the 24th floor for some fresh air. The bathrooms were very clean, equipped with a phone, the shower/tubs nice and large.

Would come back if I could get a good price, $520+ for two nights is to high if I am paying for it.

This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. My family and I went skiing in the mountains and before heading home we decided to explore Denver for a few days. We have never visited Colorado and we wanted to stay at a hotel that was the center of everything. Hyatt was the perfect location! The 16th Mall which also has a free shuttle bus was just 2 blocks away. I can only speak highly of this hotel. Everything was fabulous. When we first pull up in our minivan, we were approached by a very pleasant staff. He as well as others around him gave us a warm welcome and offered us assistance. The Front Desk person also was very personable and welcoming. The room itself was absolutely wonderful. Clean crisp sheets and comfortable beds. The housekeeping department was also good. They constantly made sure that our supplies such as towels were constantly replenished. Since we were constantly going in and out of the hotel...the staff always acknowledged us and were always pleasant. Valet was also helpful in recommending places to sightsee or eat. The staff treated you as if you were somebody with great importance. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
