“Very Nice ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

Recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt downtown Denver. Very nice hotel. No issues at all. Here are some of the highlights:
-Beds awesome. Super comfortable
-Clean, very clean and modern
-Love the check in. No traditional counter. Great customer service. the hotel sent emails about the stay prior in order to make the stay comfortable
-Location downtown is nice. Close to tons of good restaurants

Drawback
- Fairly pricey, but it is nice, very nice. I didn't feel ripped off at the price at all, but it is still expensive to stay here. It is not the Hyatt Place for a reason!

I would highly recommend this place. I'm pretty stingy on 5 stars. Probably would have given 5 star -- but I like to take the location into consideration for 5 stars. Downtown Denver isn't exactly the WOW factor.

This was our third stay with our adult family at Grand Hyatt Denver Downtown and we will be back. We are from Australia and visited in June 2014, January 2015 and previously in September 2013 and the service and style have remained constant. The check in procedure is simple, valet parking is available and porters quickly deliver our multiple bags to our rooms. The bar in the foyer is great for a quiet drink and the buffet breakfast has many delicious options. We dined in house one evening but the food was unremarkable and expensive.

Room comfort is excellent but we always seem to get rooms with views of parking lots! Maybe this is a problem with most high rise hotels in cities or due to booking on line via search engines!

Expensive but worth the cost to acclimatise after a long haul flight or before departure if having to contend with a possible four hour drive in heavy snow from the Vail Valley.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a decent outlook. Ask the receptionist at check in. I thought I did last time...

Had a great stay!!! Clean, Comfortable beds, & great shower. Close walk to the Convention Center & 16th Street Mall. Starbucks was just across the breeze way, so good for coffee & breakfast each morning. I felt very safe being that you needed a key to access the elevator. We didn't eat at restaurant downstairs, but others in our group did, & it looked very good! I would stay there again!!!

I enjoyed my recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Denver. The room was comfortably appointed, the WIFI strong and the room service was yummy. The bar area is very modern and interesting. We had good service there.

The only odd thing that I didn't like was the registration area which is a series of desks not connected and placed at odd angles to each other. I felt awkward checking in.

Had a nice comfy stay.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better views.

Green Features: I hung up my towel to keep it and use again and they replaced it anyway.

Stayed for four nights while attending a conference. The experience was excellent from the minute I arrived until when I left. The hotel was a little more modern than I'm used to so it was a little interesting for me. The modern experience starts at check in. Rather than the usual counter there were small tables with associates equipped with laptops to check you in and provide a brief overview of the property.

There is a good sense of security as all guest floors require a key to access via the elevator. I stayed on an executive floor (24th) with access to the lounge. The room is large enough to be comfortable but definitely not big. The closet was roomy as was the washroom. The rooms were very well designed with plenty of outlets everywhere including bedside. There is also motion activated night lights mounted ankle height under the furniture that eliminates the necessity of leaving a washroom on at night in case the need arises. They have all the usual amenities you would expect and a comfortable bed and a decent television. The wifi worked well for my basic needs. I just use the web and email no gaming or videos so can't comment about how the wifi would handle those tasks.

The executive lounge was large enough and served a nice breakfast and snacks in the evening. Soft drinks, water and juice were available to consume or bring to your room. Wine beer and alcohol were available for purchase very reasonably example wine $3.00/glass. They have both Mac and PCs available for use with a printer which was useful.

The hotel had a nice modern lobby bar that was lively and the restaurant had good food and good local and craft beer selections again priced reasonably considering it is a downtown hotel in a large city.

Though I am a platinum Marriott member this would be my go to hotel in Denver.

Blame the snow and long drive, or put it on staying in many downtown Denver hotels, but this Hyatt had a ways to go to make my experience stand out against the other hotels.

Yes, the lobby has a front and center bar/fire place and yes, there was a nice vibe of live, acoustic guitar, and guest mingling, but the reception is not well designed (there's a pillar smack in the middle, confusing many as to whose in line at which desk first) and those staffing it were not too inclined to make your experience personalized.

The rooms were modern and well equipped for new devise plug ins (no crawling on the floor for an outlet) and beds were situated in a way that you wouldn't see light from under the door (sounds rather specific, but important if you're a sensitive sleeper).

The location was great. I was only 4 blocks from my work at the Capitol and a block from great dining options on the 16th Street Mall. I'd skip the Starbucks across from the lobby and walk one block to Novo Coffee.

If my business booked me here again I would not be disappointed, but there are other hotels in the area I would be more excited to stay at.

Denver was hit with a snowstorm the day I arrived, and walking into this hotel with the multiple fireplaces burning in the lobby was a cozy and warm welcome! The front desk staff was immensely helpful and willing to accommodate special requests. The room was nicely filled with comfortable furniture, including a round, corner over-sized chair and ottoman that made for a great reading spot.
