I had to stay at the Grand Hyatt recently for business - a conference down the street at the Regency. First - the Regency is a much newer, nicer, overall better property. Hyatt should have rebranded in Denver....but I digress.
The Grand is perfectly acceptable for a Regency - not for a Grand. My room was in average condition - the towels were a little worn. At 11p, I attempted to go to sleep but found blood stains (!) on the linens. I requested new linens - they came in less than 2 minutes.
The shower was a little weak, but acceptable. Weird plastic showerhead that was a little unstable.
Gym....strange....overlooks the pool, the walls are damaged....but all of the machines were in good working order.
I've got a HUGE gripe about the parking situation. If you valet, you get your vehicle down a DISGUSTING ramp, and have to open the doors IN. If your hands are full, this makes it near impossible to handle. The valet attendant in the office never checked my tag - merely accepted that the grey minivan was indeed mine. OK - so maybe nobody wants to steal minivans....but still.....
All in all - if you get a good deal - this is a fine property. My company paid $199/nt plus $26/nt parking - that seemed a bit much for what we got.
