The Magnolia has a last-minute weekend offer for their property, which I took advantage of to attend a sporting event. Being downtown is great, as the hotel is close to the 16th Street Mall.

The room quality is fantastic, and the room size is one of the largest I've seen. The last-minute value makes this a great property.

The hotel smells clean, and the atmosphere is very nice.

The front desk could have advised of the nightly fee to provide rollaways, which I requested due to the lack of a couch bed. Also, the breakfast area was quite busy due to the hotel's size, and stocking it seemed to be a challenge for the staff at times.

The hotel really came through for me when our car was broken into at the valet parking. I have a hunch it was left unlocked, and some vandals removed some items from the car and scattered other items around the vehicle. It was obvious that security was lacking in the off-property parking facility.

The Assistant Manager and valet visited my room to apologize and advise they would take care of me. I know that all valet facilities remove themselves from liability, and confirmed that on the valet ticket. I thought their visit was a simple gesture, but the valet later called up to ask what items were stolen so he could shop for replacements. It made us feel much better about our hotel selection, and we looked forward to the hotel reconciling their security problem.

The valet indicated this wasn't normal, but while checking out, I asked about security in the nearby parking garage. Staff at the desk said there had been a series of problems, so I felt slightly miffed about the difference in explanations.

I had to phone the hotel two weeks after my visit to check on the status of the item replacement. I tried to contact the Assistant Manager twice, and left a message, then resorted to calling the lead valet whom I dealt with. He said the approval was sitting in an office, and I explained that any efforts he had made thus far were negated by me having to call and follow up. In the end, they made it right by cutting me a check for the replacement value of the stolen items.

Nice hotel with great business services- car ride to local area downtown is prompt. Complimentary high-speed wireless internet, cockttail hour, cookie bar, anc breakfast make this hotel a great value for the business traveler. Beds are comfortable. I will stay here again. Great location next to shops, coffee shops, and restaurants in downtown area.

Just returned from a weekend stay at the Hotel Magnolia, and I really don't have much of anything negative to say. The hotel is very centrally located in downtown Denver, one block from the 16th Street Mall and within walking distance of LoDo. The rooms, while on the smaller side, are clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The toiletries were huge for hotel sized. The only negatives about the rooms were that the beds are rather firm (though the many different layers of covers were really comfy) and the TVs could use an upgrade. It's time to ditch the tubes for flat screens. The best part of this hotel by far, though, is all the added extras. They offer a complementary breakfast every morning, which has a huge selection, including many hot items (eggs, hash browns, sausages, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee/tea, etc.). They also offer complementary beer and wine for an hour each evening and freshly-baked cookies every night (did not get to sample these, as we were never there during the cookie hour). The staff were polite and helpful. I left my BlackBerry in the airport shuttle and had to have it dropped back to the hotel. Rather than calling me from the front desk when it arrived, as I expected, they brought it straight up to my room. Nice touch. One thing that wasn't so great was that my friend gave them a shirt to dry clean, and when he went to retreive it the next day, they hadn't even sent it out yet. They compensated him with six free drink tickets for the hotel bar, and he wore a dirty shirt to the wedding we were attending. Overall, though, a great stay...at a great price (we only paid $109/night under the wedding block). Denver is an amazing city. Definitely worth a visit.

I have no complaints about this hotel. It was clean, chic, fun and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Best of all, it's downtown right in the middle of the action. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which was far from the usual danish and bagel assortment. I would definately stay here again!

  • Liked — The large comfy beds. No more scratchy sheets and hard matresses!
  • Disliked — The room was teeny tiny, but we didn't stay there much anyway...
