We stayed at the Magnolia in Denver for 3 nights, the last one being new years eve. The hotel is in an old building that has been renovated. Based on their website and cost, we were expecting a luxury hotel, this hotel doesn't meet my definition of luxury. For starters, the room had one of those old fashioned tube type tvs, I haven't seen one of those in a hotel for a long time, the elevators are small and very slow. We ran out of hot water one morning and some of the tv channels like ESPN were not working. There were a number of smaller items, like the terrible quality of the continential breakfast, the wifi is free but we had to call the front desk once a day to get a new code to use it, lack of working TV checkout so there were long lines to check out at the front desk. I can't remember the last hotel I was at where I actually had to go to the front desk to check out! They seemed suprised when we asked them to store our luggage when we had to check out, but weren't leaving for a few more hours. I thought that was a common hotel service, it is everywhere else I have been. We were just disappointed and won't stay here again.
