We went with a group of families so we would be close to Dave and Busters (2 blocks away) and then we could come back to the pool afterwards and wear the kids out and visit. The pool is small. The pool room is freezing and the kids could only be in there for 20 minutes. We asked if they could heat the room up but the humidity regulator only would allow it to get to that temp. (60 degrees). Brr. Lobby had a fireplace and we had to adjorn out there because the kids were so cold. Lobby was small. The front desk was understanding and let us visit for 2 hours in the lobby and make all kinds of ruckus. We appreciated their tolerance. Rooms were nice. Bathroom was average size. I would not recommend this hotel for the pool and kids.

Stayed two nights, the first night was horrible, the second night was GREAT, that is why I gave it an average rating. Suggestion, request a room not on Colorado Blvd. if you are a light sleeper. Sorry so long, but you should know this before booking.

First night had a king room facing Colorado Blvd. with a door to an adjoining room. I slept about 3 hours that night, my worst night ever in a hotel. I could here the tv from the guy next door like I was in the room. watching Tim Russert. He finally turned the tv off at 11:30. Then there was the noise of Colorado Blvd. it was like I had the window slightly open. Police cars and ambulances all night, along with regular traffic noise. The guy next door turned the tv on at 6 am, so I was up.

The next moring I went to the front desk, asked to be moved to a room not on Colorado Blvd. Hillary (great employee service), moved us to a suite across the hall. The suite is a nice size. I would recommend the suites. I fell a sleep at 6:30 p.m. that night because I was so tired from the night before. I slept like a baby that night. So the employee service is GREAT at this hotel.

I think whom ever installed these windows didn't do a great job, because the suite we were in we couldn't lock the window, so some street noise was able to get in. I think the other room had the same problem, along with being right near the highway and the major blvd. street. The rooms are small but nicely done, the bathrooms are small (the door almost touches the toilet), yes the parking garage is small but didn't have a problem parking the Chevy Trail Blazer as there are many spots to park in. The breakfast was nice too, waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels, english muffins, pastries, boiled eggs, Jimmy Dean Sandwiches, cereal, etc.

Would I stay here again, I don't know, just because of the street noise. The hotel and employees are fine, its the noise from the street. I am going to write a thank you note to Hillary for the suite upgrade for the second night. I hope this helps someone.

Just returned from a two night stay at this property. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the University of Denver. If you are visiting Denver strictly as a tourist, I would stay at a hotel downtown. The Fairfield Inn worked out fine for myself and my two daughters. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Although we were on the fourth floor facing Colorado Blvd. the noise was not bothersome. In fact I liked the view of the mountains. I did check out breakfast but all the tables were occupied so I brought coffee and pastries back to the room which was fine with me. We did not use the pool or exercise room. One complaint I have is that the towels were really thin and although shampoo was provided, there was no conditioner.

Pros: Clean hotel and good and helpful staff, good gym. Location is better than most, but still not great.
Cons: smaller rooms, very cramped parking garage (cars had to back up on ramps for other cars to squeeze by), small pool (noisy), no hot tub, noisy location. VERY slow elevators. Small breakfast room that is crowded and scattered.

A friend, his son, and I stayed in the 1 bed king sweet. The sofa bed was in very bad shape. The room was cramped. By luck, they had a 2 bed room come open the next day, and the staff happily switched us. Overall, the 2 bed room was nearly the same size as the suite.

You just don't expect to see triple sheeted beds at a Fairfield Inn (at least, I don't), but that's what you get at the Cherry Creek Fairfield Inn and Suites in Denver. The hotel was recently renovated and it looks and smells fresh and clean. We stayed in a King Suite and it was perfect for our needs. The outer room had two easy chairs and a pull-out sofa, television and CD player, plus a computer desk (free wireless), microwave and fridge. The bedroom was separate and had its own tv. The bathroom was small but had a nice granite countertop.

Loved the fireplace in the lobby and the breakfast was nice (various pastries, bagels, muffins, cereal, toast, yogurt and waffles).

The front desk staff knows their customer service--extremely friendly and helpful. We were having trouble wheeling our overloaded luggage cart to the elevator and a young man insisted on taking it up to the room for us then refused a tip.

The location can be noisy, since the hotel's on busy Colorado Blvd., but we requested a room on the opposite side and it was nice and quiet.

I would definitely return.
