My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend in Sept. We were vacationing in Denver to see the Denver Broncos & Colorado Rockies play back-to-back. We chose to stay at the Fairfield due to price, proximity to the Light Rail and easy public transport from the airport. At first glance on the map it looks like it would be inconvenient but it's not. You can take the SkyRide from the airport (AF Route - $7 each way) and transfer at Colorado BLVD to the public city bus (Route 40 - free transfer) which takes you right to the Fairfield. From there you can get to all the stadiums very easily via Light Rail ($1.75 each way - 5-10 minute walk). We would have preferred to stay in the heart of downtown but the price was almost double to stay in the city.
The staff was extremely helpful, especially the general manager. The continental breakfast was great (waffles, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, juice & more). You can swim in the pool 24hrs a day and the hotel is very nicely decorated. There are also a lot shops & restaurants located within walking distance including a grocery store, theatre & Dave & Buster's. We would stay there again for sporting events in Denver.
