The Curtis Hotel is at a great location in downtown Denver. The decor is fresh and new. There is a fun contemporary look, with each floor having a different "funky" theme. Our room appeared to be clean and newly furnished. We stayed in the hotel for three nights in a fifth floor room.

The walls between the rooms are thin and we experienced some difficulty in sleeping due to noise from adjoining rooms. Our biggest surprise was spotting a mouse in the room. The staff was apologetic and, other than advising us that "maintenance" had been notified, offered no other assistance.

We deeply regret that there was a mouse in the room. We are taking steps to address this very serious issue.

The Curtis would also like to apologize for the delay in responding to this issue. We take pride in offering clean, fun and beautifully appointed rooms for our guests, combined with sincere guest service.

I stayed at The Curtis for three night in August and found the hotel to be very unique and chic while not being pretentious. The lobby area has some very interesting decor, from classic board games to video screens. Every floor has a theme associated with pop culture and my floor happened to be a "Hot Rod" theme on the top floor (a woman I shared the elevator with was embarrassed when she got off on the "One Hit Wonder" floor). I found the front desk staff to be very freindly, helpful, and courteous. The location was great being near the 16th Street Mall which has free trolleys to other areas of Downtown. The only reason I don't give The Curtis a five star is that housekeeping didn't get to my room until after 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I had been exploring the city all day in the hot sun and wanted to take a rest and clean up before going to a Rockies game that evening. I had to wait a half hour in the lobby. This may have been a fluke thing but it was annoying.

  • Liked — The decor and overall fun that hotel gives the customer.
  • Disliked — Housekeeping didn't come until mid to late afternoon.

Our stay at The Curtis Hotel was very enjoyable. The overall experience made The Curtis a hotel we would definately visit again. The staff was knowledgable, polite, and helpful at all times, whether it be a busy moment in the morning or the wee hours of the night. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The decor in the rooms as well as the rest of the hotel was trendy and funky, yet still very tasteful. The Office Bar and Restaurant was also a highlight - all of the staff was cordial, regardless of how you dressed or looked. I went in both mornings with no makeup, jeans, and wet hair and was treated well. And if you go for a drink - try the Buzz Aldrin or the Pomegranite Mojito! It is priced perfeclty - not too expensive, yet you still get the amenities you would at a pricier hotel. This allowed us to have more money to spend on all of the other great things Denver has to offer. The convenient location was also a plus! Kudos to The Curtis!

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. I requested a "quiet room", as I had read about others who had problems with noise. I was on the 14th floor and had not problems at all. The staff was friendly, the room was comforatable and quiet. Internet access was excellent.

Location is great. Walking distance to convention center, shopping, museum, etc.

Only negative, is the poor bathroom lighting and Maxwell house coffee in the room.

Stayed for 1 night at the Curtis, and was a welcome change from the normal Hilton, Hyatt, etc. experience.

Lobby is very cool, with unique touches all around. I expected to have the staff be that kind of "perma-smile" happy, but were pleased to find them very normal, and willing to help book town car service from airport and back, and helpful with directions.

Rooms are well done, beds are very comfortable...remind me of upper-end hotel beds. Flat screen TV was great, and the artwork in the building and in the room was amusing. Rooms were quiet, other than midnight when a few guests were talking quite loudly in the hallway, but that's expected with a martini bar in the hotel with late night happy hour service!

It is located in walking distance to probably anything you want to go to in downtown. It was a brief 2 block walk to 16th street which is the main restaurant/shoping street.

Breakfast was really good in the morning, and even the Denver omlette was expertly prepared! If you go there for lunch and order the calamari salad, make sure there is 2 of you because it comes in an enormous bowl that one person cannot even come close to finishing.

Based on my brief stay at the Curtis, i'd recommend it for business during the week as it is a nice change of pace from the usual corporate hotels, and I can imagine on weekends, would be a fun place for staying when the kids are staying over with the grandparents!
