This is not your ordinary hotel very unique. In a great location. I would definitely stay there again. The only bad thing was the internet connection dropped A LOT.

Our stay at the Curtis was a very nice one. The rooms/hotel were very retro and fun in design. The room was very nice and welcoming. The only downside is that the housekeepers need to pay attention more when cleaning the shower--ours was dirty. The only other negative thing about our stay is we tried to order room service on the 4th but were unable because the kitchen closed at 10pm so staff could go home for the holiday. That was a little ridiculous because we were hungry and couldn't get anything to eat at the hotel.

Let me begin by saying we arrived at The Curtis around 3:00, had only 1 day to see Denver and the fire alarm went off the minute we checked into our room. We immediately left the room and walked 14 floors to the lobby. As we were walking down, the housekeeping staff were walking up, and not looking at all concerned. After the fire department cleared the hotel and it was not a fire, we tried to take elevator back up, but it stopped before 14 and descended back down to the lobby. We then waited for the elevators to be "fixed". Finally a manager suggested we walk the 14 floors back up to our room, which we did in the hope of salvaging our Denver visit.

So, if I could erase the fire alarm fiasco and the chaos that ensued afterwards, I would give a nod to The Curtis. It is a funky hotel with lots of odd kitsch and fun memorabilia - a real fresh idea for a hotel. Our room was very clean, spacious with a nice big bathroom. There is a business center for those without laptops, and complimentary boarding pass printing (nice touch). The location is convenient to many downtown highlights. There are endless places to eat and grab a drink, an ice cream or a coffee.

My husband and I went to Denver for a long weekend and decided to stay at The Curtis. In our opinion the staff is friendly and the location is convenience even late at night when we were a little hungry. The parking in the hotel is rather small and dark but we are okay with that. We received complimentary wireless connection which is a bonus.
One thing, there was a conference or something in the hotel during our stay, so it got a little hectic and noisy in the lobby and we had to wait a long time just to ask couple of questions since the lines were really long and the elevator got really slow too because of it.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Curtis. It is in a great location; within walking distance to 16th Ave Mall and bus stop. The staff was very courtious, friendly, and helpful. They stored our luggage in a locked room after checkout, since we weren't leaving Denver until later that night. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor throughout the hotel is hip and funny. I would definately stay here again. The only small complaint I have is that I think there should be a mini-fridge in the rooms. It would have been nice to store leftovers and pop.
