“Great location, comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

We stayed as a couple 01-20-2014-->01-23-2014.
The Curtis was a good hotel in a convenient location close to downtown, I would recommend to friends.
Check in was easy and the staff very friendly. We did notice the strong perfume smell as noted in other posts but it wasn't bothersome. The fresh cookies were a nice added touch.
We were on the 14th floor with a view of downtown, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms fairly quiet.
There is a hotel lobby bar downstairs which is really nice and quite popular at happy hour, I would recommend to check it out.
Although there are no safety deposit boxes in room you can use a private safety deposit box at no charge at the front desk.
I would stay again

Room Tip: away from the elevator

I booked this hotel using Hilton Honors credits and chose it because of all of the Hiltons in Denver Downtown it cost the most in $ for the same amount of points (bargain ;-)). Compared to the other Hiltons available it cost quite a lot more money, and I don't think it would deserve it. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the hotel, I'm just not sure that it is worth spending more money on than a regular downtown hotel.

Our room was large, the bathroom was lovely and clean. However, the hotel itself, excluding the reception and bar area, felt a little bit dated and shabby. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just a quick heads up for future guests: We booked a town car to take us from hotel back to airport and sat in lobby waiting for it. Five minutes after it was due to arrive we asked reception to check where it was and it turned out it was waiting for us in the car park- perhaps it would have been a good idea for someone to tell us that it was waiting?

As for the condition of the hotel, please know that we are midway through a renovation of both our guest rooms and the hotel lobby. Please come back and see us again soon - we know that you will love the new look!

Attention to guests/needs was excellent---very fine staff at this hotel--nicely updated hotel--comfortable beds and great linens. Construction started in room next to us at 8:00AM---not good! Breakfast was terrible and way overpriced--many good places to eat downtown---I would not purchase a package again which includes breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at The Curtis. We had theater tickets, so it was great to be able to park, get our room, and eat all in one place. Just had to walk across the street for the show. A wonderful splurge!

I just spent 3 nights at The Curtis in Denver and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. The staff is young, friendly and very helpful. A very fun and unique hotel, not the usual. I would highly recommend this place. It is within a short walk to the convention center, maybe 5 minutes. I'll be back next year!

Room Tip: The back of the building is very quiet. Can't hear noise from the street.

This is a funky hotel, a doubletree that doesn't look like a doubletree. If what you want is a good value, a great location, a comfy bed, good internet service, and a staff that enjoys being just a little quirky but very helpful, then you'll love this place.

We stayed for two nights in January. Loved the chocolate chip cookies, the board games (we checked out Chutes and Ladders), and the quirky themed floors (with matching audio prompts in the elevators). Excellent beds, clean rooms. The battery on our rental car died in the parking garage and the front desk team went above and beyond to locate jumper cables and an employee's car to jump-start my vehicle.
