I stayed at this hotel for a conference, which was being held in the same hotel. Thought I would be smart by staying here...
...wireless is awful. Had to call tech support to told me to do something completely opposite of the instructions received at the front desk. The wireless connection drops frequently. Then you can't get back onto the connection you were just connected to. I moved a nightstand to find and outlet and found a DSL wireless router bolted to the back of the nightstand. So, it's just DSL, but worse than DSL. While all this may not be important to the vacationer, for the busiess traveler it's is pretty much unacceptable.
Room was clean. Furniture, while basic, is new. Bed is very comfortable. Pillows are abundant and comfortable. Towels are thick and abundant. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The conference rooms were comfortable with thickly padded chairs (a plus to those who attend a lot of conferences). The breakfast and lunch provided (paid for by the conference sponsor) was fresh and tasty, which you can't always say about hotel-catered food.
The bathroom only has two hooks on the back of the door to hang your towels on. The sink is one of those "sink on a table" setups, so there's no counterspace to put anything. Even being a simple guy with some bathroom basics, it was difficult getting ready in the morning.
The room service and restaurant are outrageous prices. e.g., $14 + 20% gratuity for a plain caesar salad. $10.38 for a smoothie. OUCH! Jamba Juice is just a few blaocks away - go there!
So, the wireless is my complaint. Got to have a connection!!!
