I had a 1 night stay-over in Denver so figured I would try the Curtis hotel. I had read mixed reviews so wanted to give it a try for myself. Here's the breakdown:
Pros:
- Interesting, modern decor (each floor has a different theme)
- Location
- Service - best I've had in Denver!
- Breakfast buffet - also hard to beat for hotels at this level...service at breakfast was also stellar
- Gym - quite large and plenty of options for working out
- Parking - a bit pricy, but they do have parking, which is hard to come by downtown
- Bar scene - VERY vibrant, modern and with lots of options
- Accepts gov't rate
Cons:
- Rooms were small...especially the bathrooms
- A bit noisy...mainly from the hallways
Although I laid out many more pros then cons, these cons are significant. Being I was just overnighting in Denver, it wasn't that bad. But had I stayed here for a longer business or pleasure trip, these cons would have grown more troublesome. All in all, not a bad place and well worth staying for fun, but I would go elsewhere for longer stays (i.e. Embassy Suites Downtown or the Four Seasons)
