“Embassy Suites was very good”

Embassy Suites Hotel Denver - Southeast

We stayed here for a weekend in April. The housekeeping staff were really friendly. The hotel room is very nice. Comfy bed. Breakfasts were outstanding (the cook makes a mean omelet). In the evenings we had a complimentary cocktail hour down in the bar with free veggies and snacks. The fitness room is great, as was the pool. We had only one negative experience. Just as we were checking out on Sunday afternoon, en masse (we were a large group of over 150) wheeling fully-loaded luggage carts and trying to balance boxes etc., a young man started shampooing the lobby rug, causing bulky hosing to be sprawled all across the floor near the doors. You simply could not get the luggage carts over the hoses without having things spill. The two people behind the lobby desk watched and did nothing but talk between themselves as people's luggage was spilling over repeatedly right in front of them. One guest said , very loudly, "Gee do you think you could do the rug after we all leave, since we did fill up your hotel for the weekend?" Still, the desk staff did nothing. It was almost funny to watch people get off the elevators and be confronted with this obstacle course in front the doorway. Otherwise, the weekend was great.

Stayed 5 nights at a VERY reasonable internet price. Highly recommend for families. Close to I-25 and therefore very accessible to most places we wanted to visit. Morning breakfast great. Only complaint was FRI PM at pool....too many unsupervised teens made it impossible for others to enjoy pool. Other than that tho' we enjoyed accomodations and we'll definitely stay again!

“We had a good stay”

I couldn't decide whether to go with a 3 or 4 rating. It really is probably a 3-1/2. On the plus side, the rooms were very large, well equipped, and seemed to be pretty quiet (as long as no kids were running around chasing each other), wireless internet was available (for a fee), the staff was kind and helpful, the pool was enjoyable, and the breakfast was fantastic.

But, on the downside, the whole place seemed somewhat old and a bit rundown. Old is not automatically bad, but it seems like the place needs a more aggressive maintenance program, or a major renovation. In our room, the refrigerator rocked and didn't seem to work real well, one of the bathroom doors had water damage and was hard to close, the carpet and tile looked dated and worn, and the front room got somewhat loud in the morning from the noise in the atrium below.

All in all, I would not be afraid to stay here again. For about $100/night, it is a good value, but I would probably consider one of the other Embassy Suites in the Denver area first.

“Needs a remodel”

I was slightly disappointed when I stayed here because the rooms were not in very good condition. The drawers in the dresser were dirty, the tiles in the bathroom were worn, and the extra blanket provided had cigarette holes burned in it. On the plus-side, the atrium is attractive, the breakfast a real value, and the price is very reasonable. Also, when I was kept up all night long because of noise from an adjoining room, the staff was very helpful in finding me a much quieter room for the rest of my stay.
