We wanted to stay at the Comfort Inn based on most of the reviews we read here and we were not disappointed. We booked our 3 night stay through 'hoterls r us' and got a rate of £53/night (approx $106) which is brilliant for a city centre hotel.

As our flight had been delayed we phoned from the airport to inform them we would be checking in late and the staff on reception were really friendly, something we found to be true for the duration of our stay.
Our room #1667, was a good size room in the corner of the building. The bed was huge and so comfortable, we had windows on 2 sides and a desk wrapping round the corner of the room. The bathroom was a nice size too and the room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated.

We didn't hold out much hope for the free continental breakfast but were very pleasantly surprised. Everyday there was a choice of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage and waffles or pancakes. This was alongside muffins, toast, English muffins, bagels, yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. A good start to the day.

The location of the hotel is a big plus. You are within 2 minutes of 16th St Mall and its free shuttle bus, 5 minutes of the State Capitol, US Mint and Denver Art Museum. A 10 minute bus ride takes you to Cherry Creek Mall for the best of Denvers shopping.

All in all an excellent downtown hotel which offers fantastic value for money. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Denver.

Comfort Inns are generally a great value for the price with Breakfast, Internet, and comfortable rooms. I had a King bed in one of the corners of the hotel (recommended) and it was pleasant, comfortable, and quiet. The bathroom was smallish, but the work desk was great. Hotel elevators broke once during my 3 night stay due probably to heavy use since the hotel was booked solid for a week-long convention. They probably need to be replaced since they appear to be about 50 years old. The location of the hotel is excellent- walking distance to 16th Street Mall, Convention center, and right across the street from the Brown Palace. If you want a cheaper alternative to the Brown Palace but need some good dining options, take the Comfort Inn and go get a steak at the restaurant of the Brown Palace. It was the best buffalo fillet I've ever had and the water comes from their own artesian well and is the freshest, purest water I have ever tasted, served at ground temperature of about 53°F.

I stayed here for 1 night on a quick business trip. We booked a 1 bedroom suite with a sofa bed pull out and were able to check in upon arrival at noon, which was nice. The location is nice, across the street from the venerable Brown Palace (worth it just to pop in for a look at the beautiful atrium and architecture) and around the block from the 16th Street Mall with all the shops and chain restaurants you could possibly want. We ate lunch at the Apaloosa Grill on that street and it was quite good.

About the hotel itself: the room was spacious and nice views. However, the bathroom was strange - the toilet flusher was located near the sink, not the toilet itself. And it was a little hazardous to have the hairdryer located just inches above the sink. The breakfast was free and not bad - the eggs were obviously powdered, but there was good French toast, bagels, muffins, sausages, 2 kinds of juices. Not bad for free.

I would stay here again, just because it was in such a great location.

First off its a Comfort Inn and not a Four Seasons. So given that fact, it is great! A perfect downtown location, with walking access to the free shuttle bus to anywhere you want to go in downtown Denver. On top of all of that there is a nice gym to work out in, a very comfortable bed, friendly service, on-site parking, etc.
A reccommend for those looking to do Denver on a budget!

The sevrice is the worst in any hotel I have stayed in and I travel alot. The head of security is very rude and don't leave anything of value in your room. Things go missing.

The location is great but when you have a problem with things walking out of your room the security team looks the other way.

Do not stay in the Comfort Inn!!
