The Comfort Inn Downtown is in a brilliant location, just one block from the 16th Street Mall in Denver, and within walking distance of Larimer Square and LoDo - but if you can't be bothered to walk there's a free bus that runs the 1 mile length of the mall day and night.
The hotel itself is fine - rooms of average size, beds comfy, room and bathrooms clean. Coffee maker in the room, and ice and soda available. The "free" breakfast isn't bad - bacon, scrambled egg, french toast etc plus coffee and fruit juice.
Staff are friendly enough.
Fot the money the hotel is an excellent choice if you want to explore downtown Denver and not break the bank. The State's Capitol building is only a 5 minute walk, and I recommend taking the free tour (they begin at 9am) - well worth it.
