Just checked out of this hotel in the middle of the night due to the noize. The day started off bad with a dirty room. We were switched to a clean room but the room did not smell or feel clean. Then in the middle of showing the water was cut off for 30 min. A soccer team was checked in and we were placed by the pool which proved to be very nosy till well past 9pm when a teen age crowd seemed to take over which only proved to be loader. There were burn holes in the bedspead and ther carpet and the room was a non smoking room. Ice machine was broken and the room looked nothing like the photo on the internet. It was a small space that looked like it had been just thrown together ity even had a damp pull out couch that could not be pulled out do to it being in the hallway area and you could not even view the tv from the couch. On top of that they over charged us $10 on top of the rate we we qouted and we were offered no type iof comensation for all of the inconviences.

We have just come back from a 6 night stay at the Super8 in Stapleton in Denver. All I can say is that we got a good deal for our money. We booked direct with Super8Denver.com and found a special "managers deal" where you stayed 5 nights but got the 4th night free.
If you are used to true luxury this is not the place for you. If you want a decent size room with a few comforts and "freebies" then you need look no further.
Good size room, very large king bed, large fridge, coffee maker in room, free breakfast, free internet, free parking. For people who spend most of their time sightseeing and out & about, then look no further. The staff were curtious, the room was clean, not far to eateries, wal-mart etc for things you might forget .There is a nice shopping plaza nearby ( even for us/those brits who like to walk places). Not too far to drive to main downtown area. Lots of little park type area to just sit and watch the world go about its business
All in all a very good stay....... Oh and the price..... All this for about $350 ( or approx £180)

  • Liked — the free stuff as parking downtown was about $26 per day...
  • Disliked — no safe in room, ...........but they are at the front desk ( but thats just me being picky)

This motel was is okay, but not super. The hotel offers a free breakfast, but it has little to choose to from. Also the reception on the TVs to nothing to right about, but of course who books a hotel for great TV. On the positive side this hotel is close to a number of eateries and shops. It is also close to 1-70 and 1-270. The hotel was very clean. The rates at this hotel are pretty good, especially for last minute reservations, but you be able to find better rates at other fancier properties by booking in advance.

There is a very strong odor of food in the front lobby. It's always there and is very unpleasant. The front desk staff has a hard time speaking clear English and I had to ask them to repeat themselves many times. The work out room was never unlocked and the front desk staff was unwilling to give out the key. The front desk staff tried to tell me that my quote was too low and they were going to charge me $10 more a night. I had my confimation email with me and they had to honor the price. In all, this was an okay stay. We were very busy sight-seeing and spent very little time in the hotel. If you are looking for a place to sleep, then this is fine. It was clean and I wasn't scared to shower there (always how I judge a hotel).

I arrived to Denver for business, got to the Super 8 and checked-in. The front desk person was nice and helpful, but I never saw her again after the first day during my 3 night stay. I got room 210 and there was no elevator so I had to lug my bags upstairs. When I first arrived I liked the room, especially the little kitchenette which I was not expecting. The kitchenette had its own little fridge, micro, coffee maker and sink. The room also had a nice TV, it’s own iron & ironing board. It was nice to have the 2nd sink. However, the sink by the vanity mirror I soon discovered had no cold water. When I asked the manager/owner the next day if someone can fix the cold water, he acted surprised and said it would be hard for him to find the maintenance person so he'll just switch me to another room which will be "better" anyways because it's got two beds. I was already settled into the room I had and really didn't want to switch because mine had a view of my car and that little kitchenette. He gave me a room across the hall (no view of my car). The room was a totally different configuration which was much tighter as it included two beds instead of just the one king which is all I wanted and no little kitchenette. The manager let me hold on to both keys so I can get situated, but since I had to go to work, I didn't have time to swap my stuff. When I got back from work that night, I was exhausted and decided to just keep the first room. I told the manager the next morning (around 8:00 am) that I was keeping the first room. He acted a bit squeamish saying the 2nd room was better because it had two beds (why do I need two beds and how is that better??). I told him I thought it was much tighter, didn't have a kitchenette and didn't give me a view of my car. He reluctantly agreed and said he would check out the cold water problem in room 210 later on. What happened to the maintenance guy he had trouble finding? I guess he lied because he's the maintenance guy. I stopped by the room around noon on my lunch break and the manager told me he didn't get a chance to fix the cold water. I could tell he was lying as it probably didn't even cross his mind to do so. When I got back around 6:30 PM, the front desk people didn't even look up to say hello and I noticed he never came to the room to fix the cold water problem. This didn't bother me too much but I realized the manager has probably known about this room not having cold water at the vanity sink all along and has no intention to fix it. This made me feel bad 'cause I realized the guy's been lying to me the whole time. Then on my last night there, a huge spider crawled up on my bed and onto my laptop screen which freaked me out a bit. By the way, the Internet connection was spotty and pretty slow. At around 8:15 the breakfast was all but gone. Overall, the room was ok but the lack of help from the manager and his lies means I won't be staying at this super 8 again nor can I recommend it. It’s a shame because it had potential.

  • Liked — kitchenette, iron & ironing board, roomy
  • Disliked — spotty internet, no cold water at vanity and that big spider
