We spent one night at the Denver Sheraton and were disappointed. These were our experiences. When we checked in we were assigned a room which smelled of smoke. Our second room was an improvement, but was still dank and musty and had a wonderful view of the air conditioning system. Though marginally better, this room left a lot to be desired. The carpet was very stained and dirty. The light bulb next to the bed was broken (not burned out, but shattered) and the poorly soundproofed room was located near the elevator. Conseqently, we heard the comings and goings of other guests throughout the night.

We do favor Starwood properties and generally select this chain if available. However, this hotel does not represent the chain well.

Decent hotel that as many reviewers pointed out could use some updates, the location is great to the mall. Free bus service is something every city should have, just step out the door and off you go!

Business trip, hotel selected by company. Very centrally located. This hotel is scheduled for a 70 million renovation and it really needs it to bring it up to Sheraton standards (rooms, hallway, someparts of the lobby, gym, etc). At least Sheraton is aware of this. Company rate was $160 a night, including tax.

We stayed here for a conference for the third year in a row, first time as a Sheraton. (formerly Adams Mark). We were in the tower which is run down at best. Our room smelled like smoke. Apparently it recently became a non-smoking hotel so I'm guessing we got a former smoking room. The bed was ok but the pillows were horrible. The HVAC was noisy and hard to regulate. Our key cards worked half the time both in the elevator and in our room. All of this could be tolerated as it was a business trip and not a leisure vacation and we were busy. The rude treatment I received at check-in however was inexcusable, and I may say the same front desk treatment I received each year. The location is fabulous, right on the 16th Street Mall. I'd wait until they finish their renovation before staying here.
