As soon as we checked in we knew we would enjoy our stay. The desk clerk was most welcoming and friendly, and explained about hotel facilities, etc. Our suite was spacious, very clean and well-equipped. The bed and pillows were particularly comfortable.

Rather than travel to find a restaurant, we chose to eat at the Peoria Grill (within the hotel),. The barman and waiting staff were friendly and efficient, and their recommendations for drinks and dinner were excellent. Breakfast was well-presented and delicious.

After two nights we left, to tour the area, and returned two weeks later. It really was like "home from home", especially as the same desk clerk was there to welcome us.

The only problems we had - minor ones - were that one of the TV remote controls didn't work, and wasn't replaced after we reported it, and on one day the housekeeping lady was still working in our suite when we returned from our day out, so we waited in the hotel lobby.

  • Liked — No sound transmission between suites or from corridor traffic. Spaciousness of suite.
  • Disliked — Suite lighting somewhat dim.
  • Tips/Secrets: — Don't miss out on breakfast.

We were flying in to Denver from Florida having never been to Colorado wanted a place close and easily accessible from the airport.
The Timbers is an all suite hotel, the suites were large, the king sized beds outrageuosly comfortable, the staff friendly and accomadating. The hotel itself is lovely and the price was right! As a new hotel the only thing missing is a pool, but the staff told us there is one in the works.

My husband and I stayed here twice recently as part of a driving tour of the Rockies. The first time we didn't have a car, and were pleasantly surprised that the hotel had a free airport shuttle, which we didn't know beforehand. Having no car was a huge problem though because although the bus stopped outside, it took forever to go anywhere, an hour and a half into Denver for example, much better the second stay when we still had the car. Both rooms were above average in size and comfort, with at least a microwave and fridge. The wireless internet only worked in one of the rooms, so that is something they need to fix if they intend to advertise free internet. The outside views weren't the best....but who goes to Denver to look at the view from the bedroom window anyway? The hotel is rather isolated regarding places to eat and shop within walking distance, although the area seems to be in the process of developing, so that should improve. Regarding the staff, we found them very friendly and helpful on both occasions, but the fire alarm seems to be a widespread problem as our 5am wake-up call for our early flight out wasn't a phone but a fire alarm. It was still going as we quickly threw on some clothes and escaped with our luggage in tow. Not sure how long it continued, or if there was a real problem, but we would surely have missed our flight if we had gone outside in our nightclothes, as some other poor guests did!!! Despite the few problems we encountered, we would have no hesitation in staying here on our next visit to Denver.

Our stay at The Timbers was great. We had a single room with 2 queen beds. The room was average in size but fit us just fine (2 adults, 2 kids). The room was very clean and everything about the hotel was well kept and clean.

The beds are what make this hotel different. The mattresses are pillow top and the most comfortable you will ever find in a hotel. The pillows are fluffy and very nice. With this combination you can actually get a good nights rest.

The bathroom was also clean and the shower roomy. Faucets were unique and nice. The towels were wonderful, large and very soft. Not postage stamp size like most hotels.

Also in the room was a mini frig and a microwave.

The free hot breakfast was adequate. Selections are eggs, potatoes, rolls and muffins, cold cereals, juice and milk, no meat or waffles.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed 6 nights and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of June and were delighted with the place. Very convenient for the airport (though about 12 miles away it is a very easy drive). Excellent bed and even better pillows. Beautiful decor. Don't miss the "manager's reception".
No complaints but a couple of very minor points. Firstly the hotel (uniquely in our experience) has NO toruist info at all and could not even supply a map of Denver (though the very helpful receptionist offered to draw me one and give me copious instructions to where I wanted to go. Secondly if by any chance you're swayed by the wonderful garden the hotel boasts about you'll be disapponted. Thirdly the restaurant is okay but the fact that the diners were outnumbered by staff probably says a lot.

Would we stay again - undoubtedly.

The hote is wheelchair accessible throughout.
