Superlatives fail when writing of this hotel. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the bed was superb, the standard of cleanliness was excellent, the small, free, business centre was well equipped, a coffee maker, micro-wave and even popcorn were provided in the bedroom, the complimentary breakfast included warm as well as cold food and, best of all, the staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The pick-up from the airport by the hotel's van, and the later return there, was managed by a cheerful and very cooperative driver and when we wished to go into town one evening, and the van was not otherwise required, we were dropped down to the centre on a pure goodwill basis. The only regret was not staying longer and not having the opportunity to sample what looked like an equally good restaurant. All this was against a price that seemed too good - too low - to be true. This would be a wonderful hotel for a family on a touring holiday.

Because of my work I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels around the world. The Timbers stands out as one of the very best I have stayed in anywhere and the staff and management deserve every credit - and every success. It would be wonderful to see clones of The Timbers appear elsewhere - though I doubt if enough equally motivated and friendly people are available to allow it!

The exterior of the The Timbers does not convey the classiness and comfort waiting inside. I agree with the previous review's comments except for the noise level. The hotel was nearly full of guests due to the snowstorm and delayed flights at the airport. We had a studio suite with 2 queen beds, first room from the lobby on the second floor #201 next to the elevators. When you opened the room door, you could clearly hear the noise from the lobby and the hallway, but when you shut the door, you couldn't hear anything. With the TV on low, you couldn't even hear the elevators. Very quiet room. The studio suite is about the size of a regular hotel room but with microwave and refrigerator. No bath, just a shower, and unusual bath fixtures (see photos). Busy staff due to the storm, but they handled everything very well. We paid $99 per night Sunday through Tuesday and that is a very good value for this property. Well attended and managed breakfast is from 6am to 9am and they should make it 10am, not everyone is in town on business. Exercise room is still under construction. Be sure to check out the unusual fireplace in the lobby. We'll definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Timbers for 2 nights (on a weekend). The rates were reasonable for a hotel so close to Denver. We had a top-floor studio room with a king size bed - the room had a microwave, fridge, plates, silverware, tupperware, popcorn, and almost anything else you could need including paper towels. the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. the only negative was the noise. You can hear everything from inside the room (voices in the hallway, neighbors closing their doors, footsteps going by, etc). The free breakfast was great and plentiful. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had drinks in the bar and the service there was not great. There is a McDonald's you can walk to easily and downtown is not far. We would probably stay here again.

Friendly staff, beautiful hotel, with the best suites and pillowtop beds, highly recommended.

Dinner at The Peoria Grill was fantastic and romantic.
Great wine list.
The menu selection was vast, the entree presentation was like a work of art.
