I stayed at the Timbers with family for more than one week due to a family member's hospital stay nearby. The 24 hour shuttle was nearly worth the room rate as they transported to the airport, hospital, shopping and restaurants as time allowed.
Other great things about this hotel are the room size, the upscale decor and the extremely comfortable beds. The beds are among the most comfortable hotel beds I've experienced and I travel at least quarterly for work, staying at 3-4 star conference hotels. We stayed in two different rooms during our time there and the beds were consistent from room to room. The decor is comparable to a newly remodeled $200-300 room elsewhere. The room size is generous and the kitchenettes add convenience.
The biggest potential negative is the location. It is ideal for a stay on the way in or out of the airport. Or to events at or near Dick's Sporting Goods Park. But if you are visiting Denver proper, you'd have to build in extra travel time to and from the attractions as the hotel is essentially in Aurora. That said, there is a large chain shopping and dining development less than 10 minutes away at Northfield.
Lastly, we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend The Timbers to anyone visiting Denver, I just hope they don't raise their prices to better reflect the quality of the experience!
