We stayed here at the “Timbers hotel” for 10 days for a medical procedure. Before we stayed at the Timbers hotel, I had read some of the previous reviews. I was very reluctant to stay here but at the same time, I don’t allow some reviews to keep me away. I am more like a “See it for myself kind of person”. The hotel is an older hotel and age is showing needs some remolding. The landscaping needs some work, however you can tell they are working on it. The room we stayed in was a very large suite, considering our reason for staying there I thought the size and style of room was appropriate. It had a kitchenette which became very helpful, Living room, and a double queen sized beds. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It had a separate vanity from the bathroom which was nice. Like I said this is an older hotel so there were some flaws and some issues.
Customer service from the front desk was excellent and very over exceptional. I was very impressed on how we were treated. Anything I needed and asked for I received. I was treated with respect. Nate the hotel manager was very accommodating to our needs. Very respectable, professional customer service from him was beyond outstanding. He made sure that we got the shuttle services we needed to and from the hospital. He knew that our reason for staying here was important. Samantha at the front desk had the best customer services skills I have encountered. She was very polite, friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Since we did not rent a car, she offered to take my family to runs some errands to the store. She took us, waited for us and did not seem to mind to help us. She helped us at in the middle of the night when we ran into some medical issues with our daughter. She was personable and I respected that. She made sure that we had everything we needed which was extraordinary. I have nothing but nice and wonderful things to say about her. Her customer services skills were beyond excellent. I made sure she knew that. I had zero issue with any staff being rude, or disrespectful. Everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant to the refreshment bar was excellent. Very friendly and customer service skills was great. I feel if you treat others with respect they will treat you with respect. You treat others the way you want be treated. If any one had a bad experience with customer service skill at this facility was maybe because they weren’t very nice or respectful to the staff. I was very blown over on how wonderful and excellent they were.
They had a nice little reception with free refreshments, I thought it was nice, gave us time to just relax and have a nice cold drink for free along with some food along with that. The breakfast was excellent. They had good choices it was free and they made to order omelets which was yummy. Everything from the breakfast was very well served. So were the people that worked there very friendly.
Some of the issues I encountered, the phones were off and on you had to wiggle them to make them work. The remote controls did not have batteries covers. It was kind of strange that we kept getting a message on our TV indicating that our bill needed to be paid or it was going to be canceled from dish network? Kind of strange if you ask me. The flaws were that there were some carpet raising the facets in the bathroom seemed like it was going to fall off. No pool, and the work out facility is kind of creepy located in the basement and has strange lighting. That was not a major problem. However I did have One of the major issues that I had was my daughter just came back from having major surgery. We came across our hall way filled with smoke filled from someone smoking weed. That was my major issue. The facility is non smoking. I addressed that issue with management someone other then Nate, It was taken care of. However, it was a disappointment to come back from a hospital and smelling the weed. I thought my daughter was going to get higher from smelling that since she was on many medications already. I know that they can’t control what customers do in there rooms however you would think that the maids or other staff would have smelt it walking through the halls and bring it to managements attention. The halls of that hotel are like a maze and we had to walk several of them to get to our room. Most of the halls smelt and reeked of this smell. I know that Colorado has passed the law that weed can be smoked. However if it’s a non smoking facility the facility should control it and be aware what the halls smell like.
Other then those issues we enjoyed our stay; if I ever choose to stay here again it will be for the excellent over beyond extraordinary customer services from Nate and Samantha and the other staff at the Timbers. Thank you and keep it up. Having excellent customer skills will get you far in achieving personal goals. Thanks for having intergerity and showing it.
