My husband and I enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Gregory Inn. We stayed in the Michael Room. The Michael Room was decorated beautifully and was very romantic and peaceful. It was very spacious and seemed like we had all the comforts of home in an extremely relaxing atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally comfortable which made for a great night's sleep every night. We especially enjoyed the hot tub with the overlook of the fireplace in the room. The view that we had from our room of the skyline of Denver was pretty incredible as well. The staff was cheerful, pleasant and accommodating which helped make our stay special. The Gregory Inn is a place we plan to re-visit for a tranquil getaway when we visit the city of Denver in the future. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

The Gregory Inn was the best place my husband and I have ever stayed at. Everyone on the staff was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Stephan, Betka, and Todd were the best. Todd made a remarkable breakfast ever day. The blueberry vanilla pancakes were the most delicious pancakes I have ever tasted. I want to go back already just for some more of those pancakes. They were to die for. Michael’s room was gorgeous. My husband and I thought it was the coziest place we have ever stayed. The bed was super comfy. The fireplace and large tub were very romantic. The fluffy soft towels were amazing. There was absolutely nothing we could find to complain about. We will definitely go back to The Gregory Inn the next time we are in Denver. We look forward to staying there again.

We stayed in Garth's room for 3 nights in late February. This cozy room was really beautifully decorated. Goldilocks would've loved the queen sized bed because it was "just right" (very very cushy.) The bath water was piping hot (just the way we like it.) We had an in-room refrigerator, which was very convenient. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The staff (the owner, the chef, & the innkeeper) were all very friendly & helpful in pointing out places that we should go for day excursions, as well as restaurants. Downtown Denver is probably about 10 blocks away, so literally, you could walk there. I would highly recommend this b&b. p.s. We also got a discounted rental car thru the inn w/Enterprise, which saved us about $10/day.

Like you, I was going to Denver and was here searching for something different. The Gregory Inn gets rave reviews, as you can see. So, we booked it, excited to check it out, however became disappointed as we got closer to the Inn. The photos on the Expedia site, while actual, don't convey the reality. Betka checked us in for the owner, who was out of town for the weekend. We never met him, which was too bad, because she was not helpful. She stated that she did not drive and did not know the area and wouldn't give us help with finding restaurants or streets. I was with my partner who was working, so I had no car during my days there. I took mass transit and that was fine, but walking through the neighborhood was sketchy--and I live in the city (Chicago). Lots of homeless people hanging out in the parks. Desolate buildings. Creepy place. So, if you stay there, make sure you have a car. Also, the cable tv goes through a projection screen which requires the room to be absolutely black to see well. The rooms are very dim because of that, but not dim enough to see the tv clearly. Betka had no idea how to use the remote for the cable/projection screen and just handed it to me and said as much. It was a boring and weird place to stay--inside the room, and out.

Management response from Stephen Gregory, Owner
(Management representative)
Mar 20, 2006
This was a nice little couple from smalltown Utah (not Chicago), who evidently were frustrated with using our projection TV remote control and room lighting. The staff also got lots of opinions on how things “should have been designed” to better suit. The Inn is purposefully designed to be different from typical hotel appointments. The beds are higher, the mattresses thicker, towels bigger, linens softer, shower curtains cotton duck. Some tub spouts are waterfall. We use table lamps with three-way bulbs and every room has tall windows on at least two walls. All electonic devices, except personal CD player, are located in a service room and are controlled by a 5 button remote control. Our Inn serves the general public. Occasionally, some guests will regretfully find these unexpected differences disappointing. Thank heavens these are few and far between. The vast majority tell me they find our Inn better than anticipated from our website and enjoy themselves to the fullest. Our staff is happy as clams when guests enjoy themselves and are disappointed as well when they do not.

I just returned from a week long convention in Denver, CO. Instead of staying at the typical convention appointed hotel, I decided to find a B&B near the downtown area to stay in with the hopes that after a day of long hours on my feet I could unwind in a cozy atmosphere and forget about the fast pace of the day.

I am pleased to say that I got much more than I could have expected at the Gregory Inn. The Gregory Inn combines the charm and comforts of a B&B with the high-tech needs of business travelers.

I stayed in Garth’s room, which was beautifully decorated and always immaculate.

After a long day I soaked in the jetted tub, fireplace lit and watched a movie on the big screen, all while my email was downloading. Although my trip was about business, I felt like I was on a mini-vacation.

Stephen Gregory and the staff at the Gregory Inn are amazing! Stephen has really thought of everything!

Can't wait to have a chance to visit the Gregory Inn again!
