My husband and I were coming to Denver on business for the weekend and decided since we own a well known Bed and Breakfast (Black Bear Manor, Ouray, CO) we should try another instead of a hotel just to be spoiled.... and spoiled we were. Stephen the owner has done an amazing job taking care of The Gregory Inn and it's guests for nearly 15 years! Beginning with the beautifully appointed rooms, to the clean, landscaped grounds to the awesome, huge breakfast omlet Raymond made for us.... Raymond...next time, only 3 eggs instead of 6! We felt as though we were home. We also loved the downtown location... it really helped us out by being in the middle of everything, and the local restaraunts were fantastic as well. As for the other review being concerned about the "transitional" area...hello.... you are in the middle of the city!.... very safe, as people are walking everywhere. Just know if you come stay here, there are few B&B's that are this beautiful, clean, filling, and most of all....friendly.

  • Liked — Stephen the owner was friendly and funny
  • Disliked — nothing

The Gregory Inn is the perfect mix of a wonderful B&B in a central location. My husband & I found it a great place to stay to be able see central Denver by foot and they were also good about accomodating our two daughters a week later. The staff went out of their way to answer any questions and the breakfast was omelettes made to order and lovely fresh fruit. Beautiful, clean rooms with free parking made it a place to recommend. The fact that the airport shuttle was easy to book from the Gregory and reliable was a bonus.

The inn is very lovely. I walked to downtown Denver from here, so I thought that the location was good. The breakfast was really good. A trained chef prepares it. The room was so comfortable. I was really impressed with the technology in the room. You'll love the projector/tv.

My husband and I stayed two nights in the Lori room, a small but sutable room for the amount of time we were there. If your stay will be longer, I'd reccomend a larger room as there was no place to put a suit case. I really liked this place even though it had its problems. (TV didn't work and wasn't fixed even though we asked three times). What's important to me is the actually amount of sleep you can get in a strange room. If the room is quiet and the bed is comfortable that will usually do. The Lori room was both, but lacked pillows that weren't crushed flat. Breakfast was as good as they say it is and the chef and staff are very friendly. Note that the Inn is not in an upscale area, but isn't an overly risky neighborhood either.

  • Liked — the Inn itself and the breakfast was great.
  • Disliked — crushed flat pillows, no place to put your suit case

My husband & I stayed two nights at the Gregory Inn on a recent last minute trip to Denver. I booked directly with the Inn after seeing multiple good reviews on TripAdvisor. We were very pleased with our stay overall, but when we arrived we were sort of uneasy about the location of the inn. It is in a very urban / transitional area next to a couple of schools and a Greyhound Bus maintenance lot. We also saw homeless shelters/centers a few blocks away. The property itself is fenced and has very pretty gardens. They have a fenced parking lot for guests, but the drive in entrance is always open. Our room (Michael's Room) was quite large with a good size bathroom with a Jetted tub & an opening through which you can see the fireplace if you wish. It was decorated nicely with a comfortable bed and sitting area. Breakfast was very good both mornings and all the staff we encountered were very pleasant. Based on our overall experience, I would recommend the Gregory Inn but just wanted to provide the information about the transitional nature of the location so that other travelers would be fully informed.

  • Liked — Our room was large, pretty and very comfortable.
  • Disliked — The location is "transitional".
