We have just arrived home from our amazing first trip to US ever. We stayed at this wonderful B&B called Capitol Hill Mansion for 8 nights and were extremely pleased and happy that we chose this place for several reasons.

First of all, innkeepers Carl and Bailey are very friendly and always happy to listen and answer your questions. They really run the place with all of their hearts and you can truly feel the cosy atmosphere.

Our room "Forget-Me-Not" was very clean (cleaned every day), comfortable, spacious for two persons and their luggage and nicely decorated with lovely vintage furniture. The price for this room is definitely reasonable in my opinion.

Breakfasts are absolutely amazing with a selection of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, bagel, jam, peanut butter (or similar), different types of flakes + a warm dish that varies daily. These breakfasts really give you a nice kick-start for the day!

The location of this B&B is fantastic! Bus number 10 runs along the 12th street and the bus stop is in front of the house (bus 10 takes you to downtown and for example, Aquarium). It is also a nice walk to downtown - only a few blocks, takes about 10-15 mins. We walked many times - day and night (10 pm) and it was very safe and pleasant.

The neighbourhood is pleasant with lots of old historical houses. In the mornings we could see many students biking to school and everyday people taking a bus to work or downtown. In some reviews back in 2003 they say that this neighbourhood is unsafe and restless - not true anymore. Maybe it was earlier but not today. We felt safe at all times and had no difficulties at all to sleep well.

I would come back any day to this B&B and will definitely recommend it to everyone I know!

Great location, delicious breakfast, lovely mansion, nice staff. Overall an OK experience; disappointed in quality of towels, bath products, bath robes (need replacing), bath mats, dinginess of white bed linens, lack of wine when I understood a wine social to be offered, and no coffee for an early checkout. Probably won't be back here when I return to Denver.

This is an excellent place to stay whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. My husband traveled to Denver for work and my 6-month old and I tagged along. The rooms are virtually soundproof and the Elk Thistle Suite was a pleasant surprise as it had a separate bedroom, living room, and full kitchen.

Carl and Bailey are wonderful hosts and were able to point us in the right direction for restaurants, bus routes, local attractions, etc.

The breakfast in the morning was the best breakfast I have ever had and we have stayed in a number of B&Bs. Eggs flourentine, butter pecan waffles, vanilla bean french toast, and bacon cooked just right. Every morning they also present platters of fruit, fresh chantilly cream, assorted cereals and bread, and they serve an excellent cup of coffee.

If we're ever in Denver again we will stay at the Capitol Hill Mansion and I will recommend it to all of our friends and family.

This is an awesome B&B. Nice rooms, very nice staff, the two owners are absolutely amazing hosts. Breafast was incredible, Jalapeno Egg Souffle was to die for. It is well situated a little outside of the craziness of downtown.

Styed there for a romantic weekend and i would go back any day. A must stay if you go to Denver.
