We stayed at the Capitol Hill mansion for three days last week. We really enjoyed it. The inn is on a nice residential street in Denver. If you like to walk and don't mind walking 1 - 2 miles to attractions, you can do so safely and easily to most attractions in denver. Many attractions are closer.
We stayed in the Shooting Star balcony room. the room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The balcony is off the extremely large bathroom. My husband sat and read on the balcony every morning of our stay.
Carl made a fantastic breakfast on our first morning of chocolate scones, butter pecan belgian waffles and and bacon. there was also plety of coffee and tea and a large assortment of fruit and cereal to choose from. If you didn't care for the main breakfast entree, no need to worry, there were other things to eat and available.
Bailey, the young lady who checked us in and out , was helpful and lovely.
I was very happy with my decision to stay at the Capitol Hill Mansion.

I've traveled all over the world for business & leisure over the past 25+ years. This is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, anywhere, period. Bailey & Carl run a first class operation. Convenient to downtown, beautiful rooms (especially the bathroom in the Shooting Star room), a great breakfast, and some of the best service I've ever received. I felt "at home". Spent two nights here. Mansion was very comfortable - food was top notch. Innkeepers very friendly and fun to be around. Very convenient location to walk to museums and State Capitol.

The Capitol Hill Mansion is a beautiful and historic property, located blocks from downtown Denver. We originally had reservations at the Brown Palace, but after reading the reviews, we changed our plans. We're glad we did.

We stayed in the Snowlover's room, which has its own balcony (during our trip we got to experience the famously capricious Denver weather--82 degrees one day, snowing the next, so our enjoyment of the balcony was limited!) The room was charming and comfortable. Both the shower fixtures and the toilet require care when operating, but overall, everything worked just fine.

Bailey greeted us and was helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was outstanding--several steps above a hotel meal.

We had a great stay.
