Stayed at Capitol Hill Mansion B&B while attending a friend's wedding in Denver...great accommodations, comfortable night's sleep, withing walking distance to 16th St. Mall area, and not only was Carl (owner) fun and friendly...each breakfast he prepared was superb!!! If you had a special request or special dietary need, he took great care to see it was fulfilled. Would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful B&B.

I unfortunately was unable to enjoy the full ambience of the B&B with my very limited stay. I arrived late in the evening, however had no difficulty finding a parking spot (free !!) and was given very easy instructions with finding my accomadations.
Breakfast was simply divine. Carl is a spectacular host. The "Mansion" is truly unique with its architecture. Even old steam radiators which really work quite well. I stayed in the Forget-Me-Not room, which was very comfortable, the main windows of the room even have curved glass.
I will definitely return to this location and spend some leisure time here just to enjoy the ambience.

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the Capitol Mansion B&B, and it was FABULOUS! The mansion sits in historic Capitol Hill, Denver, just "a stone's throw" from The Molly Brown House, The Kirkland Museum, Dazzle Jazz and Supper Club, and spectacular downtown Denver.
Our room (The Shooting Star) was cozy and gorgeous with everything you could possible need or want. Carl Schmidt, Owner and Chef had the downstairs decorated for the holidays with a gorgeous tree and the fireplace mantel accented with gourds that had been hand painted and designed by his aunt. We sat comfortably in the living room space (there's a piano for your use if you play) and played board games with some of the other guests. Now let's get to the breakfast...super yum! To meet my vegetarian needs, Carl prepared a delectable mushroom omelet that sat on top of a sweet potato puree. For those like my hubby who weren't veggies, Carl had prepared a delicious benedict-ham and all. There was also a lavish fruit tray, a "melt in your mouth" blueberry-crumb coffee cake, croissants, coffee, tea, etc. Thanks to Carl and his charming daughter Bailey, our anniversary was the best ever!

Capitol Hill Mansion is fantastic! Central location but out of the noise. The rooms are warm and welcoming and Carl and Bailey are incredible. The breakfast was off the charts. Highly recommended.
