I stayed here while in Denver on a business trip in April, and was very pleased with the stay. The hotel, while not "downtown" is VERY conveniently located at I-25 and Speer - right off the exit. We had meetings downtown, but Speer goes right there, and it only took about 5 - 10 minutes to get from the hotel to our building downtown. Plus getting out of town was also convenient since Speer is an exit on/off I-25.
As others have said, the hotel is "new" - it's only about a year old, but still has the new hotel feel - it's very clean, the rooms are nice, and all the common areas were very well kept. The breakfast area had ample room, and the typical Hampton fare (I still can't tell if those egg disks are really eggs or not), but they kept it well stocked and clean. The hotel also has a meeting room which we used for working all one afternoon - it was great, as it has an overhead projector with wall-mount cable jack, and plenty of seat/table space.
The free internet is nice, and the business center has the PC, internet, printer, and FedEx supplies. There is also a small room right next to the front desk that stocks and sells snacks, frozen dinners, ice cream, post cards, and other sundries. Nice touch, especially if you don't want to walk around for dinner (not recommended - the neighborhood isn't bad, but it isn't somewhere you'd want to walk around much at night). We did walk about 5 blocks to a great sandwich shop for lunch (Jay's), and during the day it was fine.
The outside of the hotel was kept in good shape, and we were able to find parking right against the building both days. All the staff we encountered (even the maintenance) were very courteous and professional. I believe it was the manager that actually checked me in, and he was very helpful - even in the midst of some computer issue they were having. There is a pool and workout room (treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike) in the basement level of the hotel - small but good to have there.
No real complaints at all, would DEFINITELY stay here again if in Denver. The rates, location, property condition, and staff competency made it very worthwhile.
