Definately a place to stay if looking to be near the hot spots. This hotel is conveniently located near 16th Street and a nice walk to the Coors Field. The hotel was very clean and modern. The only drawback is the parking. I hate paying to park my car. However, you are in downtown so it is to be expected. We took advantage and parked across the street for a reasonable rate. Not much to comment on the breakfast....your average donuts, muffin, cereal, etc. They do serve a "hot" breakfast which when we were there was an egg omelet but it didn't taste all that great. Looked and tasted like it was cooked somewhere else and put in the microwave to warm up. So, we decided to eat out the remainder of our stay.

We loved it here. We had trouble with the walk to the 16th St Mall area, but that is not a negative for this hotel. Anyone with knee trouble should just be aware that the walk to restaurants is up and down hill, about 4 to 5 city blocks away. We found the interior quite a surprise compared to the mundane exterior. This is a totally smoke free hotel. Once you enter, the lobby area is almost zen-like, peaceful and beautiful. We had 2 queens, best sleeping beds you can imagine. Our room was perfectly situated just across the hall from the business center, and the room had every thing you want including microwave and small refrigerator. Complimentary breakfast was so good, a variety of hot food, great coffee. I can't imagine a better place to stay downtown for business or pleasure. The Capitol is just down the street. It appeared that a small coffee shop/cafe was preparing to open down the street on Sherman, don't know the deal on that, but there is nothing else to eat after the free breakfast, except some microwavable food you can purchase at the office. Knowing that, prepare ahead if you are arriving as we did on the Airport Shuttle. You will have to force yourself to make the walk to 16th St Mall no matter how tired you are. There is just no where to eat nearby. We should have grabbed a takeout at the airport, because we were starving by the time we got to the hotel.
I have to mention sweet smiling Sosa, the friendliest hotel clerk I have ever met. Always smiling. All of the Clerks were very friendly and helpful, it's just that we saw her often.
So you will know, Avis is just a block and half easy walk, so you can rent your car downtown instead of paying the higher rates at the airport. They allow you to return the rental car to the airport at the end of your stay. This is a great place for the tourist or business traveler.

A great value in downtown. Easy walking distance to the 16th Avenue pedestrian mall and the state capitol building. The free breakfast buffet was standard fare, but the hotel is close to lots of restaurants. The pool was nice, but be careful since the tile floor is very slippery. The staff were very helpful, letting us check-in early and check-out late.

Not sure why this is a 2.5 star hotel - the facilities are fantastic! We stayed with our baby in a studio suite for almost a week and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel while in Denver.

The room was large, with a sitting area and sink/microwave/fridge/freezer area which was great for travel with young children, especially if you don't want to eat out every night, or watch TV while baby sleeps.

The pool area was exceptionally clean, and we looked forward to using it everyday. The free breakfast was also quite good, even having a waffle station.

One issue was that our room was never cleaned upon our return to our room (around 1-2pm) for nap time. Perhaps more cleaning staff should be employed, or complete rooms with small children earlier in the day if possible. Cyndi fielded this issue for us and we were really happy with her professionalism and response (desk staff were not as responsive).
We did appreciate recommendations to Steubens restaurant up the street - great! Hotel is in an excellent location, close to many restaurants, Coors Field, parks, zoo etc.

We got relocated to this hotel free of charge after booking a night at the Warwick (about 1 block away). The Warwick had over sold, so they put us up here.

The rooms were great. Beds soft. Pool was fun with 2 yr old.
Valet parking. Gave us a new remote when we couldn't find one.
Relocated us to a room with 2 beds instead of one.
Great breakfast. Just get there early or all the food is gone.
Easy to find. easy to get to. Within walking distance of the 16th st. mall.

Great service. Great place. Highly recommended.

Very clean, quiet room in convenient location downtown. Parking worked well for us as we arrived after business hours, but it is a public lot so not sure how it would be at the height of business hours. Great breakfast too. Good Pool. Good value for money.

Location is great, three blocks from the 16th street mall and other areas while not too noisy.

Parking is not free but on street parking and the lot next door offers good and cheap alternatives. It's a downtown hotel, parking won't come in free.

Nice and helpful staff.

Breakfast is adequate

Elevators were down in two of the four days during our stay.
Business center is user friendly but the printers were low on ink.
