I stayed at the Hampton 3 separate times in July and August, for a combination of personal and business travel - a total of 8 nights. Knowing what you're getting with a Hampton, I really like this place. It's a little bit off the main tourist track - about a 4 block walk down to the 16th St. pedestrian mall, which is the closest you will find any restaurants - but that seems to be taken into account in the prices, as the rates are a very good bargain. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. Typical Hampton free breakfast, and the staff worked hard to keep the breakfast area clean and well-stocked. As with other lodging in downtown Denver, parking is a bit of an issue, with $18/day valet, or fend for yourself in the local lots or meters, which could be a hassle. Unlike further downtown, though, weekend street parking is free in this part of town. A tip for families with kids in the 6-12 age range - ask about the availability of a "bunkbed suite", which was as nice and fun a family set-up as I've ever come across. I would definitely look to stay here again on future trips to Denver.
