Hampton Inn Denver is only 3-4 blocks to downtown. The neighborhood seems remarkably safe for a big city – in fact, so did all of downtown. Unlike some downtowns, this one has a thriving after-hours scene as well as a daytime scene. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and the like.

The hotel is modern, very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt.

Exercise room had 3 treadmills, one stationary bike, 1 elliptical machine, and some resistance equipment. It and the indoor pool and hot tub are open from 6 am to midnight.

The 24-hour business center has 6 or so computers, all in order.

The free breakfast is standard Hampton Inn – which is to say it’s a nice amenity.

Parking is surprisingly easy, especially if you don’t need to park during the workday. The street parking is free, plentiful, and apparently safe. The other option is $18 per day for valet parking.

It’s slightly off the beaten path – if you’re going to the convention center, it’s worth looking at closer hotels – but not by much. I’d definitely look at staying there again.

This is a "typical" Hampton Inn, which means you get a big clean room,
super comfy cozy bed with bunches of pillows of varying firmness, a microwave, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, an iron and board, bathroom
vanity "supplies", lots of towels, internet access, desk with ergonomic chair, personal alarm clock, two telephones, full length mirror, big closet with real hangers...what am i forgetting? Oh yes, that wonderful free breakfast with a variety of juices, cereals, pastries, different flavored coffees, fresh cut up fruit, and always a hot "entree". So, that's what you get at every Hampton Inn which is why I don't think they can be beat when you want a clean, safe, cozy and inexpensive place to sleep. This one scores in my book because it is right on the edge of the charming San Remo area of Denver. San Remo
is one of the earliest and most charming neighborhoods, which is adjacent to downtown and is a beautifully revitalized neighborhood with charming homes, interesting shops, fabulous restaurants and of course a great profusion of coffee houses. This Hampton Inn is ONE BLOCK from the fabulous Brown Palace Hotel, so it is right in downtown, but it is not the pricey spot you might expect. It's new, it's convenient and it's fabulous.

This hotel is located downtown on Sherman Road.

It is only three blocks to the 16th Street Mall, this mall has a free shuttle that stops at each block along the mall route.

The room was nice and clean.

The closet was nice and you had plenty of room to store your clothes.

The front desk was efficient and helpful with directions and recommendations.

If you are coming for Sports Games, Coors Field/Pepsi Center are virtually next to each other, walk down to the 16th Street Mall and take the free shuttle to the end of the line, then you walk two blocks over and your at the arena/stadium.

I stay in Denver frequently and always stay here because of the location to the Auraria Campus and the 25. It's a Hampton Inn, so it is not the Ritz. But, it is very clean, the staff is absolutely phenomenal, and if you are looking for a decent hotel with a convenient location to the theater district and downtown. There are restaurants close by for take out or dine in....

I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you are going to Denver for the nightlife or a romantic weekend -- but for a business travelr, it's perfect!

This year my brother, sister and I treated our mom to a quick weekend visit to Denver and Estes Park for Mother's Day. For the last night of our trip we stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Denver. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

The hotel was clean, modern and looked to be fairly new. The rooms were comfortable and beds amazing. The front desk staff was also welcoming during our short stay. Our room did face an alley though which didn't provide us with the best views, but we didn't spend much time in our room so it wasn't a big deal. As other travelers have mentioned, the hotel does not offer self-parking. If you are visiting on a weekday you will have to pay to use a nearby public lot or utilize the hotel's valet parking service. Since we stayed on a weekend, we were able to use on-street parking free of charge.

A drawback to this hotel is its location. It is located in the southeast corner of downtown and while the 16th Street Mall isn't too far off (10 minute walk), the convention center, Coors Field and other downtown attractions are quite a hike on foot. The Royals were in town and we ended up taking the free MallRide shuttle down 16th Street and then walking to the ballpark. In all, it took us about 30 minutes to get from the hotel to Coors Field.

On my next visit to Denver, I'll look into staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites again. However, I would prefer another hotel with a more centralized location that is comparable in price.
