Hampton Inn Denver is only 3-4 blocks to downtown. The neighborhood seems remarkably safe for a big city – in fact, so did all of downtown. Unlike some downtowns, this one has a thriving after-hours scene as well as a daytime scene. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and the like.
The hotel is modern, very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt.
Exercise room had 3 treadmills, one stationary bike, 1 elliptical machine, and some resistance equipment. It and the indoor pool and hot tub are open from 6 am to midnight.
The 24-hour business center has 6 or so computers, all in order.
The free breakfast is standard Hampton Inn – which is to say it’s a nice amenity.
Parking is surprisingly easy, especially if you don’t need to park during the workday. The street parking is free, plentiful, and apparently safe. The other option is $18 per day for valet parking.
It’s slightly off the beaten path – if you’re going to the convention center, it’s worth looking at closer hotels – but not by much. I’d definitely look at staying there again.
